Portland needs depth at all positions? I didn't catch that one. What? Are they expecting the whole team to demand a trade? Hehe.

According to the Sporting News the Rocket's needs go in this order:

    Houston: small forward,
    shooting guard,
    power forward.

Shooting guard?!?! Did they not watch any of our games last year? I thought we had that spot pretty much covered.

    Check it out. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/draft/index.html

I was going to post this too, you beat me to it Gideon. [IMG]

A lot of it is ludicrous, but my favorite is how Portland needs depth at all positions. They pretty much have awesome depth at most of the positions.

The Clippers only need a SG and PG.

    Wow.

I agree with Slick Willy's assessment, but would just make the amendment:

    Center (future starter).

I consider this sort of insurance in case Cato is as lazy as most of the people on this BBS think he is.

I'd also rank our needs in this order:

    1. PF (starter)
    2. SF (starter who can actually play D)
    3. C (future starter)
    4. Another Rockets' Power Dancer [IMG]
    5. PG (back-up; this is a distant 5th)

I think with Moochie and Mobley playing the occasional PG, we're more than set there.

If we waste a pick on a PG, I'll be pissed.

    How about
    Small Forward (starter)
    Power Forward (starter)
    Center (back up)
    Point Guard (back up)
A few more position upgrades off the bench wouldnt hurt but 2 up-grades at starter & back up would get it a little more up to speed.
