I am in the market for 2 tattoos myself. One is a tree tattoo and one is a boar tattoo. they both have personal significance to me. I've done a good amount of research in Austin. The main issue I have is that it's very very difficult (impossible) to get to see a bunch (heck, even 3 or 4) options on your idea from actual tattoo artists. This is probably why you started this thread. I understand the artists are busy, and are being paid to tattoo you, not spend time giving you options, none of which you might like, or which you might get done by someone else, or whatever. But still, if you're going to get inked forever, wouldn't you like to see a few choices. It's real easy when you're at a shop to get jazzed up, psyched up, etc. and overlook certain things, or just like the tattoo more than you really would in retrospect, with time to consider. hence, all the misspelled, mistake tattoos. i guess there are increasingly design websites out there... http://www.createmytattoo.com/ ??
I like your spirit, and I'm not really a tattoo guy, but sounds like you need three tattoos... or at least two.
You have to understand. 6'LoneStar don't like needles. I am actually afraid of what I'll do after I get my first one. I've heard that once you get the first one out of the way, it can become addicting.
I hear ya, but going two or three for one in order to avoid the pain and/or save a buck is going to seem at the very least like not as good of an idea over time. But what do I know, you could get their likenesses done... put them in old school jerseys with their names and / or birthyears on the back, turning their heads towards each other with the two trophies between em. No one could doubt that level of devotion to <s>family</s> <s>your team</s>... nah, separate them. not that you couldn't use those colors on their name... I just don't know about making the connection.... what's the word I'm looking for here? Spoiler island? no Spoiler peninsula? no Spoiler oh I know Spoiler atoll
seriously, i like your idea and think its a nice tribute to your family, but with 3 minor design tweaks i think you could have something really dope. instead of using the rockets font do it in latino script. instead of using rockets colors do a houston astros star. instead of your wife and childs initials get one that says "tango blast por vida"
why not go to 3 to 4 different artists and have each give you one or two sketches. pick the best one and take it to your favorite parlor, or reward the artist who drew it and use them.
Nah, that's not why I'm combining them. The inspriation for that part came from my sister who had an awesome one done out in Cali that incorporated my nieces' initials into a butterfly. My name's not Ted Mosby, so the butterfly aspect did not really speak to me.
This is a nice idea, I like it. OP could get this and would look really well, mixing the things he loves.
Kid's names on your body is so 2000s. Barbed wire around your bicep or Chinese lettering on your forearms is the way to go.
Put the money in a college fund for your kiddo, she will get more out of that then a wrinkly old tattoo. DD
