One of my favorite player is Chuck Hayes. TB was molding into that guy. Damn, hope he boomerang back.

I wish the guy well. Looks like Black grew into a fan favorite for some. People like to root for the underdog. He did show that hard work can payoff. It was the right move to release him though. He just doesn't strike me as an NBA quality rotation big. Rox were going to start being in major trouble if they had to continue to depend on him AND Dorsey for major rotation minutes. I believe Dorsey's better play recently and guaranteed money made this a no-brainer.

 

I think he will be picked up.

played well when thrown in to the deep end. Took his opportunities and used them with efficiency. I expect someone to pick him up

Good fit. I believe Waivers works from the worst to the best teams. If that's the case, TB may be claimed long before the Cavs are able to add him.

 

I hope he does go to the Cavs so he can be on a good winning team! He would be the starter considering the injury until the poofy haired guy comes back.

 

I always feel bad when guys get cut/traded from contending teams... Black was a pleasant surprise and contributed a great deal during Howard's injury... Hope he gets picked up by anothe contender.

 

You were mature beyond your years and was Ben Wallacing it out there every chance you could get...

Agree with everyone's opinion that it should've been Dorsey over Black, but money talks.

I hate to see Black go - but when we're contending there just isn't room for the kid. I hope he gets picked up somewhere he gets a chance to play.

 

Tarik Black is 6'11.

Whichever team picks him up will be fortunate to have such a fine soldier and competitor. When Howard and Jones were injured, Black (an undrafted rookie) helped the Rox keep WINNING games with his D-Fence, Rebounding, Scoring at the Rim, Hustle, Hard Work, Determination, etc.
