From what I've been reading, the majority have been favoring this trade, but rather questioning why in holy hell would Boston want to do this trade at all. So, it still correlates with the idea that everyone hates Tmac.

McGrady for Rondo straight up will not work.

Even if they add Ray Ray I wouldn't take it.

I know I sound like a broken record but we cannot receive anyone better than McGrady with the way his value is right now.

Don't see Boston giving up Perkins and relying solely on Rashweed at center. I would think the trade would have to be tilted something like RayRay, Rondo, Tony Allen, and Scalabrine for McGrady, Brooks, Landry, and CBud for Boston to do it.

Lowry will also be a triple double machine if he plays with the BIG 3 there.

Rondo didn't play with the "big 3" in the playoffs last year.

Because this team needs outside shooting around Yao, and we have Aaron Brooks who can shoot, we wouldnt take
    Derrick Rose
    Tony Parker
    Rajon Rondo
    Devin Harris

It makes no sense to have both Lowry and Rondo on the team people.

Why not? Rondo is arguably a top 5 PG. Lowry isn't....

Rondo was the Big3 in last year's play-offs. He's a heckuva player, but he'll be a C all year. Next year? Maybe an SnT. But, this year he's going for the ring with the C's.

i disagree.. we get a young rondo and another expiring who is older... who would also contribute more than tmac last season

i would also ask for a bigger player

Not long ago, Rafer was better than Rondo on this board.

    1. I have not seen or heard anything about Rondo to the Rockets. Can we get a link?
    2. Why the hell would Boston even consider this?
    3. Rondo>Brooks
    4. I was gonna put a trade here for if it did happen but I can't find one that would make sense for both teams.

This would have to involve more assets than just Brooks and T-Mac's expiring. Can anyone confirm that this was actually discussed on ESPN or NBATV?

Yeah, you can't build around a guy who's hurt every year. It doesn't make any sense. If you can get Rondo, or any of those guys, for Mac and a reasonable amount of other assets, you do it in a heartbeat.

I could actually see Boston jonesin' for Air Bud. No, he's not Larry Bird (who was a Rockets killer, tha b*stard!), but Chase has an uncanny resemblance at times. The Celtics fans would be giddy fantasizing about just how Bird-like he might turn out to be. Sure, they would be crazy, but I can see Chase selling a lot of tickets, at least until the bloom wore off the rose.

Yeah, no question. Mac, Brooks and C Bud for Rondo and Allen in a second.

I'd be shocked if you could find even a single Celtics fan who would rather have Rondo than Brooks.

Whoops, other way around. No Celtics fan would rather have Brooks than Rondo.
