    A $5m backup to Harden. I don't really understand.

What is the most likely scenario? Do we get their first? Da Spark is campaigning for Mirtoc, who I've heard is solid.

Hamilton could be solid on Jlin slump nights.

Expiring contract that will possibly bring with it a draft pick or allow us to ship out a couple million for additional salary cap savings for the offseason

This isn't about Richard Hamilton. It's about the Bulls shedding salary to get under the tax.

The Rockets don't want Richard Hamilton, the player. They are willing to take on Richard Hamilton's contract to get another asset. I would think they are asking for a 1st rounder of some sorts or perhaps the draft rights to Nikola Mirotic.

We're not using our cap this year - might as well get a pick out of it.

We're dangerously thin at the backup 2 guard - if Delfino goes down, we just have Anderson to sub for both 2 and 3. So he'd be useful for a little while.

This. Getting Nikola Mirotic's draft rights is like acquiring a 2014 or 2015 lottery pick, IMO. I'd give them Marcus Morris or Cole Aldrich in return.

    T. Jones for Hamilton and either Mirotic or a 1st round pick

Anyone else wondering about the availability of Boozer? I don't know what he'd do for the Rockets, but he wouldn't hurt us unless he costs too much in prospects.

Can Hamilton play at all anymore? If he can, I can think of worse options off our bench right now.

I imagine Morey will angle for a draft pick if a deal can be struck.

Boozer has a near max contract for the next 3 years. It's that bad.

The Bulls don't owe any of their own 1st round picks.

They are owed a 1st pick from the Bobcats. 1-12 protected in 2013, 1-10 protected in 2014, 1-8 protected in 2015, and unprotected in 2016.

The remaining noteworthy asset is the draft rights to Nikola Mirotic.

Ouch, thank you. Yeah, Boozer for Dwight/CP3/Smith chances ain't worth the server space I took up typing that.

I wonder which one the Bulls value more. That pick the Bobcats owe (most likely you'll get in 2016) or Mirotic's draft rights? I'd take either of the two, to be honest.

I know this isn't about getting Richard Hamilton but it would be gravy if he could give us around 18-20 solid minutes off the bench.

LOL Yep. As much as the Raptors want to get rid of Bargnani, even they don't want any part of that Boozer contract.

Would you rather have Terrence Jones (given how many PF's our team has) or a future unprotected Bobcats pick?

If that's the case...obviously the unprotected bobcats pick, but I doubt that's the case. It seems like the days of no protection are gone like the 70s :)

Seriously though, if you have a logjam at the 4, trade one of the 3 less talented PFs in front of jones (Pat, Morris, or Smith).
