Kahn manages to f*** it up even despite doing surprisingly well by picking Derrick Williams (I was hoping he would be stupid enough to pick someone else actually), and Lee.

    LOL. Oh Kahn.

So... what happens if Bismack Biyombo comes out and says he's actually 24. Does his draft become invalidated and he becomes a FA free to negotiate a salary with every team?

    Hmmmm.....

Not the first time it's occurred.

IMHO he DID mess it up. Why pick Michael Beasley the 2nd, even if it does look like he's better in every way? Should have gone for Kanter or Jonas V, at least they could have avoided the glut. Hell if it was me I would have tried to get Pau Gasol and have him play with Rubio, Love and Wesley Johnson.

....because neither Kanter nor Jonas V complement Love very well either - Williams was the best pick on the board for the Wolves considering the drop off in talent for a better fitting piece. That's why they were shopping that pick so hard. Besides, Williams has franchise player potential that neither of those other bigs do. If your going to draft an ill fitting piece, you mind as well draft one that has more skill and a higher upside. Now they are going to have to find a way to get value in a trade for Beasley or Williams. They are probably going to have to find a way to get value on Beasley and similar to the Rubio situation, he's going to get lowballed because teams know he has to trade him but considering they scored him from the Heat for next to nothing, it's not a complete loss.

Kahn replaced a terrible GM in Mchale, and actually managed to be worse.

Really? Lebron has never been under a cloud about his age.
Also, It's a well known fact, Chinese officials alter Birth Certs, to change the age of athletes.

If Kevin Love is the only player on the Wolves roster, then sure, you get Derrick Williams. But they also have Wesley Johnson, Beasley, Webster and Anthony Randolph. OTH their center and sg slots are nil. In a vacuum where there are an unlimited number of takers who will give you fair value for your glut then sure, going BPA makes sense. But when everyone in the L knows you're the biggest idiot and you have like 6 young tantalizing SF/PF prospects, who will offer you anything of value? One reason they had to use the 2nd pick was everybody was trying to rip them off.

Picking Kanter wouldn't be a needs pick, its a common sense pick. Getting Derrick Williams just after trading for Beasley is the equivalent of taking Flynn and RUbio in the same draft, and would probably work out just as well. What an idiot

    I think he meant...

Seriously though has anyone wondered? I mean the first few seasons he was injury free and he hits supposedly what is usually the prime of his career and boom. Plus there was always that joke where he said he's old... :p

    False,

Professional basketball players not int he NBA automatically become a free agent on their 22nd birthday.

Kahn drafted a free agent, not eligible for the draft. If he likes him that much, might as well sign up.

This pick as is isn't good enough for the NBA. They thought at 21 years old and with NBA level development he still has enough time to hone his skills. At 26 though he is what he is. There's no point in signing him at 26 years old, spending 4-5 years developing him only to see him decline at 31 years old.
