I've been a member on these boards for years and I'm still amazed at the sheer number doctors and psychologists we always have posting. Keep it up guys! Y'all's diagnoses are always dead on and give this board such great insight!!
*sigh* Is this our fate as Rocket fans with McGrady on the team? Constantly worrying about how he is because we have a small chance of winning without him playing? I don't like being negative whatsoever, but I must say this.... We were doing so well then he goes down with another injury and we are on a 3 game losing streak, plus the game before. The teams we played are the strongest teams in the league to be fair though. Had we played lesser teams, it may have been a different story. It's just so draining because at any time he can he go out with some injury and this is always in the back of my mind. I just can't get too happy about how things are going because at any moment he may go out again. I just can never get too happy about our winning streaks anymore because of that. I love the Rockets, but McGrady's lingering threat of injury just doesn't allow me to get too happy about the Rockets.
I hope he do not overstress his elbow today against Dallas. He can still play decoy last last time when his back is not fully recovered back then.
To be or not to be, that is the question; Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep; No more; and by a sleep to say we end The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks That flesh is heir to — 'tis a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub, For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause. There's the respect That makes calamity of so long life, For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely, The pangs of despised love, the law's delay, The insolence of office, and the spurns That patient merit of th'unworthy takes, When he himself might his quietus make With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear, To grunt and sweat under a weary life, But that the dread of something after death, The undiscovered country from whose bourn No traveller returns, puzzles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have Than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all, And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, And enterprises of great pitch[1] and moment With this regard their currents turn awry, And lose the name of action.
Some of you people are just disgusting with your hypocritical, high-minded remarks. "He likes to grimace for the cameras" ... wth? If he doesn't play through the pain, he's a wuss. If he plays through the pain, he's a drama queen. If he doesn't talk, he's not a vocal leader. If he talks, he should shut his mouth. Meanwhile, in spite of all his health issues and problems over the years, he has done nothing but carry this team on his back to the best of his ability. If I were T-Mac, I'd certainly hate to have fans like these.
Jordan never talked to the media about how he was sick or hurt. He just went out and played. The media, his coaches and his teammates were the ones that talked about it.
I wonder what the Vegas odds are for T-Mac playing in every game of the season from this point forward? (no pun intended)
