or tracy is rehabbing with his own trainer in another city, and they don't see him everyday. therefore, they go by what the doctors say prior to surgery, and these types of surgeries can take that long to heal.

but tracy is basically trying to save his career.

Yeah, that is why Morey was so surprised when he saw Tmac already playing 5 on 5 about a month ago. Anyways, its now a very good chance he starts the season and I'm looking forward to see what he brings to the team this year. Let's all just sit back and see what happens. Can't say that I am not anxious.

Hey i was wondering..do you think T-Mac is going to play on the 27th Season opener vs the Blazers? The last news i heard was that he was going to come 4 or 5 months after the season begins..but thread title says 99% so..?

Last word from the Rockets was most likely January/February. But that might have been purposefully conservative. McGrady sounds like he's determined to be ready near or at the beginning of the regular season.

If he's basically ready to participate in training camp, does that mean he's good to go for preseason?

    Screw Pre-season

i want him to play in that Lakers game on November the 4th..That would be Nice! I can already picture the headlines Tmac Scores 30 in first game back..Lakers start 1-4, was the Artest acquisition a costly mistake by GM Kupchak

    One can only dream..

The only thing sort of dunk contest like that I've seen McGrady pull off recently was that 360 dunk. He was able to do that pretty effortlessly a few seasons back. Maybe that's what he was doing.

I'm very disappointed that he would say 99%, only because given his past no one will know exactly what that 1% means and the drama on the boards will be out of control. Every missed shot and defensive lapse will be blamed on the 1%.

I would've rather he said nothing.

I'm 99% sure him playing this year is not in the best interest of this team.

morey said last month the timeline was moved up to late november/early december (after seeing him play 5-on-5) and said there was no way tracy would be ready for training camp.

i think the next time morey speaks, the time will move up again.
