Why the hell would we want to give up our trump card (Tmac's contract) AND Landry just to take bad contracts and a #5 pick in a historically crappy draft.

This is more like it, but still not a trade I would necessarily make right away.

I'm scratching my head. But if Morey really is trying to pull this off, I'm behind him 100%.

But I still find this very hard to believe.

Arenas has had three straight seasons plagued with knee problems. And his defense is just as bad as Tmac's. At least Tmac is expiring; Arenas' contract is huge and there's very little assurance that he'll round back into form. If it were 2005 Arenas then great! But 2005 Tmac was a great player too.

why would we want this when we were rumored to want the 2nd pick and bad contracts from Memphis?

I don't believe it. He must be speculating.

Who in this draft is worth a huge expiring contract in 2010 plus a young proven player?

There has to be more to it. Morey is trying harder than I thought to get into the lottery, according to the reports. But why?

BECAUSE Memphis wants trade for PICKS, not just players.
plus Wizards' bad contracts are better than Memphis'

Morey probably sees a talent there.

Remember Aaron Brooks and Landry? He's been good on the draft so far.

One of these 2 guys has to be included the 5 pick alone won't do it for Morey. James and Thomas are trash.
