Rockets can be the biggest surprise this season if the organization can be focused on winning games getting better with who they have instead of always looking to trade for a superstar. Not saying you shouldnt always be looking to improve the team but how about we develop some superstars of our own. J Lamb and T Jones seem like they could develop into something special. Im tired of Morey going around saying "we have the right assets to make a move or two". Why would any player want to play hard somewhere where they arent sure they are going to be there tomorrow. Lets build our own core and develop our own superstar!

GSW only need health to be much better. If they are relatively healthy, no starter misses more than 10 games, they are a 45-50 win team. How can they not be, with so much talent?

    Other.

OKC - they are due for some injuries. :(

Nets will be better, but I don't think it is much of a surprise, considering how much money they just spent on salaries.

No Suns love? I think they'll be the sleeper team. Not a contender but, they'll surprise lots of folks. Suns followed by the "if healthy" GSW.

I'm not sure how the Nugs will be a surprise. That team's already performed above expectations and they just beefed up their roster on top of adding to their experience. Iggy will find the Nugs a better fit than the 6ers and the repeated "bonehead" decisions by McGee is overplayed by most.

I really like Washington, I think they have a really solid mix of veterans and young players.

    Okafor / Seraphin
    Nene / Booker?
    Ariza /Vesley
    Beal / Crawford
    Wall / Price?

Bench is a bit weak, but starting 5 (if healthy) can make the playoffs

Suns can make the playoffs as well, but this is not really a surpirse..they almost made it last year and have more talent now.

    Gortat / O'neal
    Scola / Morris
    Beasley / Wesley Johnson
    Dudley / Brown
    Dragic / Marshall

    Horford / Zaza
    Smith / Johnson
    Korver / Stevenson
    Williams / Morrow
    Harris / Teauge

Hawks could be interesting. Harris/Louis Williams backcourt with Smith running the wing..and Korver on the perimeter with Horford in the middle..can do some damage.

Warriors are going to suprise people with Curry running the show, Barnes already showing he's NBA ready, an improved Klay Thompson, having Bogut at center, Lee at PF, having Jefferson, Landry, Rush..Ezeli maybe contributing. They're like the Rockets of the past who only needed everybody to stay healthy. So if Bogut & Curry stay healthy, they will make the playoffs and can make some noise with their size and versatile players.

    Homer overload!

We couldn't make the playoffs the last 3 years with a decent team of veterans. We got rid of the veterans and we're going to trot out a team of children, and you think we have a shot if Lin and Asik play well? I don't like being the downer, but there's too much sunshine here. Some posters are setting themselves up for a massive disappointment this season.

Wait till the Rockets are playing the Grizzlies on a second night of a back to back..and our leading scorer is Jeremy Lin with 15 points, Jeremy Lamb with 12 points, and Patrick Patterson with 10...fighting to get to 80 while Grizzlies are coasting at a cool 95-102 pts.

this season for us WILL be rough. we will have some nights where everything is going right and we look DAMN good, but 2 out of every 3 games will be a struggle.

You seem to forget that we have one of the best scorers in the game on our team right now named Kevin Martin. 23.5 PPG two years ago. And he wasn't even fully healthy. He's healthy now. And he can easily average 26.
