    I'm guessing you don't play an instrument?

    I'm telling you, with enough practice, virtually anybody could play along with a video.

    It would be just like playing a song by reading notes off of a tv.

    Doing it without knowing what is coming next would be far, far more impressive.

    Nope.... I dont play an instrument....

    but it seems like with even practice it'd be hard as hell to make them "mario sounds"......

    Im pretty sure he was playing to a recorded video.....

    The thing that makes it amazing is that it's on a freaking violin. That is one hard ass instrument to play. Although it's far more versatile, acoustically, than almost any other instrument. And you're right, it is the most impressive part of the video that he is able to recreate such obscure sounds, that can't possibly be easy to replicate accurately/consistently. I get the feeling its pre-recorded too, and like I said, playing along with the video isn't that impressive. Dude just put in several hours studying the timing.
