We knew Foles was a great QB before this. He had shown that before. I'm not sure why he couldn't hold down a starting job. He clearly has the tools to get it done And, he did. Really, the missing piece was having great players around the QB. And, the Eagles clearly had the right mix of players on O and D.

 

I think the nfl wanted the eagles to win. They wanted the patriots to get to the sb, but philly is a big important city and I think that's why they let that third td stand: clement. It was probably not a catch, but that last td was no question a catch. CC don't even know football. Clearly Zac made a football move.

I gotcha. I guess i should mention that i grew up in redskin country. They were always my 2nd favorite team. The oilers were my favorite because of my dad. Everyone on my moms side were huge redskin fans. So, i grew up hating the rest of the nfc east. Well, i didnt hate the cardinals because they were always crap back then. I hated the cowboys, giants, and eagles. As an oiler kid you know i hate pittsburgh, cincy, cle, and the raiders out of the west. As a texan fan i still hate the same teams that i always hated.

I always felt that the Pats defense was not at the level it needed to be at to win a championship this season. There's only so much Brady can overcome. That said...the Pats defense came a long way from earlier in the season when they looked awful.
