Super Bowl 50: Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos

Even the die hard Broncos fans must feel this isn't going to be close. Their defense can make the game respectable but it's hard not to see the Panthers winning it in the first half.

At least this won't be a cold weather SB where we can only see a full on zombified Peyton Manning. He'll get to go out playing half dead instead.

Carolina over Denver 37 -17 .....

 

I voted for the team I want to win (Denver)....but in reality, I bet the Panther's offense is just too much. They are on another level right now, playing out of their minds.

I hope we get overtime. Never happened before in a SB.

But Carolina is way better than Denver so we are more likely to get our first super bowl shut out than our first Super bowl OT game.

So who's rooting for Cortland Finnegan to win a Super Bowl?

 

AJ should come out of the stands and beat his ass down.

 

I still blame Gary Kubiak for allowing the Bills into yet another Superbowl in 1992. I don't know what he's going to do today, but it will be ultra conservative.

 

My take:

Before the NE game, my gut said Denver would win even though my head said they had little chance. I'm getting the same vibe for the Super Bowl.

If the Panthers bring their "A" game, it's over and they will win by at least 2 touchdowns. However, if the Panthers turn the ball over, the Broncos get a lead and their defense plays lights-out, we could have an upset.

If Denver's offense dies in the 2nd half (or sooner), stick a fork in them. Same if they fall behind by 2 scores.

All Carolina has to do is avoid key TOs and they should have this in the bag.

Lastly, most of you don't remember the BCS title game between Auburn and Oregon. Cam was very nervous, tight and was way off his game. Despite his outward confidence, history could repeat itself.
