They don't share a contract. They shared an amount. The Suns just gave them an amount and let them divide it among themselves. So Markieff and Marcus came to an agreement and the Suns wrote up two different contracts for the amounts the twins decided on. They do reportedly share a bank account.
Man it would have been nice to try and get bledsoe, a pipe dream i know but still. He is the elite version of Beverly. Better defender, better scorer, better ball handler.
They have a lot of young talent too, they've been stocking up on 1st round picks, some of those young players may turn into solid NBA talent or starters (Alex Len, TJ Warren, Archie Goodwin, Devin Booker). Also have Markieff Morris whose become a very solid NBA player. Their upside for the future is positive. They're better than Portland was with LMA.
yes DMO...you would be correct...LaMarcus with Spurs would be much more difficult to beat vs. the Suns. Screw the Spurs and the Mavs...its time they start their decline so things can get back to where they should be with the Rockets as the premier Texas team...
How is this a lateral move? Suns have a complete team and would just add him as the cherry on top, Portland has no bench and SA just lost their center of the future in Baynes.
They also have Bledsoe who's like lilliard but plays defense, the backcourt of Suns with Knight and Bledsoe beats Portland's backcourt plus Portland just traded away Batum. They may be similar but Suns have more depth off the bench as well with guys like Len and Morris etc. They aren't the same at all, Portlands like 5 deep right now and has inferior overall talent if you take LMA out of the equation.
