Guess it's time to sack the ball coach and get someone who can get these guys playing hard again. Sources: Jeff Hornacek's job in jeopardy as Suns' slide continues
gotta fire a coach who gets a towel thrown in his face towel thrower should be traded somewhere to win a championship or 3
what? I like the thread. It feels like a crossover episode, just when you think it was an amigo thread..it turns out to be J.R. the gm should be fired not so much horny
Definitely channeling my inner Carl Herrera. _________________________________

Suns' Eric Bledsoe suffered a left knee injury last night. I wish they fired McHale's assistants. Longabardi was once a "hot upcoming name" and former Rocket and now's fired. I don't know if this will make a difference. Schedule is "lighter" in January (after the first 3). vs Cleveland @San Antonio @Oklahoma City(B2B) @Sacramento @LA Lakers(B2B) vs Charlotte vs Miami @Indiana @Boston @Minnesota vs Indiana vs San Antonio vs Atlanta @Philadelphia @Cleveland(B2B) @New York @Dallas
Yes they were. Frye came back from 1 year of not playing because of enlarged heart and formed the most powerful pick&pop combination with Dragic that season. Dragic himself was MIP and 3rd all nba team. Tucker was like Ariza last year with better rebounding. Morrises didn't have any drama surronding them and they were playing for their contract. Plumlee was playing out of his mind sometimes and then regressed the next year. Their chemistry was off the charts and Horny as new coach had two terrific guards (Bledsoe and Dragic) to work with. He wasn't a stranger to two-guards system as he was a part of it with Kevin Johnson in a succesfull Suns campaign at end of 80s/start of 90s, so especially Dragic felt super comfortable in his offense. McDonough probably thought he can ride that wave, same like we did after we made playoffs the year Harden came here. But we hit a homerun with Howard and cheap contracts like Dmo, Jones, Beverly and Parsons. All the while McD gave 80M to Morrises, didn't want to pay Frye, alienated their best playmaker (Dragic), has been lowballing Bledsoe all summer and gave a fortune for a headcase Knight. Suns' fans loved McD at the beginning, but now they want Horny's and McD's head. This year's Suns are all McDonough moves and this is the result.
A good coach is a coach who also has a very valuable and basic quality. And that is having the respect of his players. Hornacek has NOT. He may make great assistant but he's not for a lead coach. Sorry. Plenty of good coaches are good for assistants but not for head coach. They may be good at development good at defensive shemes good at offensive shemes. But when they can't get their team to listen to them then they are basically worthless. They are not cut out for the job. Simple.
I agree to an extent, but sometimes you have a head case on your team and coach needs to be backed up by front office. What did McD do when Morris yelled at Horny or threw a towel in his face? Hornacek can do only so much as a coach. He can't trade or suspend him. He can only bench him, which didn't do much. Despite all that, I agree he probably isn't cut out for a head coach.
