If we are stuck with Ryan Anderson, I would gladly bench him for this Qi kid. Scrub Anderson is not getting any better. He is what he is. On the other hand, those minutes to Qi can pay dividend. The kid actually rebounds and plays defense.

I'm actually pretty high on this kid. I see the potential. He can be a valuable big man in the NBA who's mobile, can block shots, and hit the 3. Obviously his lack of strength is a huge issue right now. He could be a poor man's Chinese version of Porzingis.
Low rent Porzingis, a weird, interesting skill set you can throw at teams -- he needs to put on some lbs and maybe work on a one bounce/shot kind of move, but I dig him. Great value, intriguing potential.

7 foot 2 guy with good hands, mobility, athleticism, touch, range, arm span. A bit light but if he was a NCAA player or Euro and not a "chinaman", he would have been a lottery pick for sure.
