Staying put in Pearland....77581. Not worried about storm surge, but I live in a neighborhood of new construction and I'm a little concerned about errant bricks and lumber.....well, and the port-o-pottie across the street from my house.
55404. Sometimes its good to be living in the middle of the continent. Just wondering for those who live in flood prone areas do you guys have a plan of escape incase you get flooded? One thing that I heard from some people in NOLA is that they keep a hatchet in the attic incase they have to hack their way out to the roof. That seems like a good idea to me and it might be smart to stock up some water and rations up there along with flares and a signal flag to signal rescuers. Wishing all you storm riders the best of luck and again stay safe and don't take any unecessary risks.
We went to Specs and Fiesta Beverage Mart too look for O'Brien's Hurricane mix. Managed to find one package at Fiesta BM. Storm riding in style.

Centerpoint Energy! That's almost as bad as being a Jazz fan in my book.. OK that's going overboard nothing is as bad as being a Jazz fan.
My folks are in The Woodlands and my brother and his wife are in the Heights/Timbergrove. I told him to at least head to our parents but they're sticking it out. He apparently had too much fun in the empty city during Rita.
