So AB can't learn how to pass to Yao?

Only one ball argument is useless. Everyone knows how to pass. Think Celtics. Whoever is hot at the time gets the ball. Simple as that. The more weapons you have on the court the better.

    K-Span?

I'd be shocked if Lowry's next contract is in the 2-3 million range. I think the Rockets would be willing to go well over that, but we'll see what other teams think.

It is funny how Yao fans continue to MISPLACE the blame of the entry pass on the passer and not on how badly Yao is at making himself an available target.

    1. Yao does not box his man out
    2. Yao does not spread his elbows out and force the defender to go through or foul him.
    3. Yao does not hold his ground
    4. Yao can not move to the ball very well - very slow
    5. Yao does not present a good target - very small window

Yao is the major reason he can not get the ball, because for a guy 7'6" tall he presents a very tiny target.

The beauty is that next year, Yao will not be on the block as much and it won't matter, but don't tell the ignorant brigade this....they still want to go to the big man in the post.

Yao will be a part of the puzzle next year, but no longer the main piece.

    HALLELUEJAH !!!

Yeah, in a declining economy, with a smaller cap space, teams are going to OVERPAY for a backup PG.

I guess everyone has their crusades where they are wrong, this is your Durv....lol.

No way, the team was great to watch and just came up a Charles Barkley elbow tendon away from winning it all.......

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

It's not that AB can't learn, but he won't be better than Lowry at that if they're given the same chance.

On the days AB is hot or a mismatch is explored, he'll get more minutes than Lowry. Starting is not about who plays better in a particular game, but about who fits the who unit better in general.

A starter doesn't even have to be better player than a reserve, see how Manu came off the bench and won Championship for Spurs. With Landry gone, who is going to provide scoring for 2nd unit? I believe AB is the best at that.

Brooks is a much better basketball PLAYER than Lowry.

Even Kyle's fans don't know how to spell his name...lol.

Rick Adelman has already decided this issue, and it is clearly Aaron Brooks.

Too bad there are some misguided fools who can't see the forest through the trees.

Youth is overrated as a means for comparison. It mainly matters when the player gets older and his body starts breaking down. Brooks may well have fewer productive years in the NBA, but I don't him being a few years older matters much right now for comparison. What matters more is how many minutes each guy has played in the NBA. Both Derrick Rose had played 3,000 minutes as a starting NBA point guard coming into this season. Brooks had played a little less at 2,600.

I don't see Brooks as immovable it would just have to be a very good player in return.

On a different note imagine if we got Stat before the deadline. This team would be currently Playoff bound.

Aaron Brooks isnt the only post entry passer we have. And I cant recall our post players this year having trouble receiving the pass from Brooks or anyone else. SUre, you have the oddly timed pass when the post player is leaning the wrong way trying to get position. But the entry pass hasnt been an issue this year.

Also, we all remember what happened when the Blazers tried to completely eliminate Yao with 2 guys at pretty much all times. Lets see them try that with Martin and Brooks out there.

Lowry is an awesome guy,but 6M is a bit too much. He has gotten better at shooting the ball, but he needs quite a lot of improvement. Both he and Brooks are much better than backup PG's,but neither of them are starting PG material IMO.

Brooks is better for this team as currently constructed. However, you have no way of knowing who will ultimately start when Yao returns.

Yao has been with the team long enough. Tmac had no problem getting the ball to Yao when he wanted to, Rafer also did a much better job at that. Last couple years, the only time Yao really had trouble is when he's fronted.

But AB is not the best passer for you ,that doesn't take ignorant to see that.In fact, if you can't see that, that's ignorance.

If Yao comes back healthy and strong, it would be fool to make AB the main piece instead of Yao, that would be ignorant as well. Ab simply is not an all star level player.
