32.38 2 month, 60 min chart. it has to break that level to go to 37. if I were trading it I would do a trigger trade based on that 32.38 area.
the only reason I would buy chuy's ahead of earnings is because of this short data on it: Chuys Holdings Incorporated $ 31.26 CHUY 1.05 Daily Short Sale Volume view Short Interest (Shares Short) 2,760,600 Days To Cover (Short Interest Ratio) 11.6 Short Percent of Float 17.29 % Short Interest - Prior 2,404,100 Short % Increase / Decrease 14.83 Daily Naked Short Selling List view Short Squeeze Ranking™
Anyone adding FB before earnings tonight? GOOG and TWTR both missed, the ad revenue has to being going to someone. I wonder who...
Win some loss some. I hold trades for a lot longer than I used to when I first started trading. Luckily, I ended up making money on the trade. I was really just hoping for a push lower on the open to exit, but oh well.
Or no one, this whole thing with ad revenues isn't going to work forever for these companies. If they can't find another way to generate revenue companies that are based solely on ads are going to crumble. Seriously who still clicks on ads anymore. If ads were really making money hand over fist then facebook wouldn't be cramming more and more ads into my feed. They keep coming up with new ways to advertise on your feed, thats the only way they can sucker companies into advertising. Companies taking out ads will see they are getting less and less return from doing these ads and will start to do less.
Or maybe companies will stop advertising on commercial television altogether, and advertising will done almost exclusively online in the future.
losing trades are part of the deal but minimized losses. Tesla always has some news jack up its seems that results in Musk going onto cnbc to clarify it then some huge move. calls this am would have been fabulous.
I didnt think there was much downside to FB because last week while the spx was trading in that channel FB only touched down to 77 if that. It was holding its own pretty well.
I'm gonna take a nibble on some shorts here when we get some pause on the run up. Probably around the / es 86 level.
I actually went with the FB 76 calls at open and when they nearly doubled I sold. then the market took a turn.
Can you explain how 76 calls doubled this morning when FB went down. I am not being sarcastic I never really understood calls and puts.
The $76 calls on a net change are negative, because the stock was down as you mentioned, but the premium value of the each strike price will increase or decrease in accordance with the overall stock move. (relation of strike price to underlying stock price) So when FB approached $75, I bought the $76 calls anticipating a move back to $77 or higher. (had line at $77). So when the stock moved up the premium increased from 86c (what I bought it at) to $1.50. The premium moves according to the delta. Whatever the delta is at the premium moves that with $1 change in stock price.
Waiting on Fed statement..could be an interesting move afterwards. market acting like expecting a dovish statement with this past two day run up.
Wow a $1 move made the cost of the call double? That is insane. 76.73 is the highest it went. So I guess people thought that it was going to keep going up so that's why the price of the option went up so much?
