Well it looks like the seasons over for SF3. Well at least we kno now he wasnt tanking the season like many thought. The Real Question is will Stevie be a rocket next year. He has a player option for around 1.5 million I think. Well I still think Morey made a good decescion by signing him u kno low risk high reward. Mayb he can rejunvinate his career after surgey but we realy dont kno. I dont kno how the man just all the sudden dropped off the map; I mean Tendentis usually isnt career theartening and this tear was just recently found.

Well Good Luck Stevie and hope ur a Rocket next Year

Microtears in the tendon surrounding the muscle are common with jumpers knee. They are going to do one of two things. a. cut the sheath off or b. make longintudinal cuts in the tendon to allow the muscle some room to slide and take pressure off.

Look D-Wade came back and J. Williams had jumpers knee. They both had surgery and resumed their career without any problem. Francis was just chicken and put off the surgery for like an entire year.

He knew he had to get surgery a year ago but kept putting it off.

    REBOUNDS

Steve Francis said it was time “to think about the next step” in dealing with the chronic tendinitis in his right knee. But he could not say what that step might be after meeting with the team doctor before last night’s game. “We really didn’t get into too much detail,” Francis said. “But we have more time to talk when it’s not a game day.”

Francis missed his second consecutive game yesterday, and his 27th this season because of the knee. It is not clear whether he will return this season, and Francis provided no reason for optimism. He again ruled out surgery and said it was too soon, at age 30, to ponder retirement.

“I guess resting it more and just trying to get it stronger will be the best thing,” he said. “There’s no tear or anything like that. Most people that have surgery for tendinitis, they said it really doesn’t work.” Francis said he had no plans to return to Houston, where he spent most of January rehabilitating. “I want to be here with my teammates,” he said.

Barring any trades, are we going to keep the roster at 14 players or will we try to sign somebody to fill the roster spot? Seems like a good time to sign Mike Harris for the remainder of the season, I'm sure it won't cost much.

Well, maybe that explained his horrible play while playing point, he didn't have that explosiveness we are accustomed to and did you notice that he could not dribble past opposing points....he would dribble with his back to the opposing player and that would slow down the offense......Good luck Steve and maybe you can help us next year....

Another thing I am jealous of is that Baron Davis and Steve came out at the sametime....Baron still has his explosiveness.....Oh I just checked NBA.com and Baron about to be 29 compared to Steve just turning 31.

Baron went through major knee surgery several years ago when he first came in the league and his game was off for over a year.

Personally, I believe Steve will come back and still be a player in this league. He's older and less athletic, true. But we just saw him take a rebound over a big man and cram it down in presesason................on a bad knee. He hasn't lost so much that he can't play if his injury is repaired and healed. If we can't use him in a trade, I'm all for seeing what he has next year in training camp after he is fully recovered. Steve is a lot wiser now that he is older too. Not many people seem to recognize that yet. But I can see it in his few minutes playing here with McGrady and Yao. I believe Steve is interested in winning first. He's got his dough. He's got his All-Star appearances and personal accolades. His main concern right now is playing on a winning team, getting a ring. He's the typical veteran superstar that hasn't won. He wants to win. I think he'll be back.

Knee surgery like this can take up to a year or more to heal. I do agree his game was off. He couldn't dribble penetrate like old Steve Francis. He did play with his back to the opponent. When Adleman said he wasn't making the hard cuts I was puzzled. How can you not make hard cuts? Hopefully this surgery will fix it and he'll be able to play at a high level again.

I just saw Tmac checking into the ER at Hermann Hospital with his trainer (maybe?) around 9:45 this morning. He looked fine but maybe he injured himself somehow......I thought he might be checking in on Francis but usually you don't stroll into the ER to visit someone who's going to be in surgery.

If this is true, this should be a thread by itself.

it wont let me create a new thread so I put it in this one. I can verify it was him, he was wearing a black beenie, a gray sweater and some black sweatpants--he's tall as hell in person (I'm 5'10"). The much shorter guy that was with him was black, had a shaved head and had glasses on. I made eye contact with him and it seemed like he was hoping no one would recognize him....then again with those crazy eyes of his, its hard to tell what the hell he was thinking....he'd be a badass at poker!
