Really? Prior to this season, I felt most confident with Steve's shooting the J's. This year, I'd rather Mo try to stick the 18 - footer than Steve.

    DD,

You are always saying that Steve's poor shooting due to Yao clogging the paint. I understand you are trying to back up your "oil and water" theory. But there's plenty of time when steve is on the court with yao on the bench. It seems to me steve doesn't shoot much better when yao out. I believe steve will find his shots back sooner or later. But other guys have to help him get good open look and he needs to move better without ball.

    Boiler,

    True,

But Steve is still trying to run the offense through Taylor when Yao is on the bench.

Steve's strengths are out the window in JVGs system.

And, JVGs system is better for consistently winning.

I think we need Inside out system players.......

    And Steve doesn't fit.

I was thinking the same thing. MoT shooting pretty good for an "outside shooting" PF.
46% on 10 shots per game.

Guess we had it "too good" when Francis shot the same thing way back in the day...

    Happy to oblige, Nick.

Let's say Steve isn't there, for whatever reason, and the team gets tired of a sit-down strike like they pulled at Golden State. That costs them playoff money, and probably their jobs, anyway. Do you really think the others can't play AT ALL without him?

I think they'd find a way. I think the team would have to play like a team, with Mobley or JJ doing a lot of the set up duty, then the ball moving around the perimeter to find a seam to Yao or Taylor, who'd have to start to pick up the scoring, and then up or back out.

Personally, I think that would be a better team. No, they wouldn't suddenly be really good; just better.
