Howard can solve his issues easily. He just needs to stop focusing so much on chest and shoulder pressing and strengthen his lower body. However, it may be hard for him to give into that, given how much he loves to 'look good'.
Lebron was also questioned for whether or not he had what it takes to take a team to a championship before he became public enemy #1 and got with Hakeem the Dream. Just a thought.
Dwight Howard is a fake-Christian 'good-guy' with half a dozen illegitimate kids running around. Super hypocrite.
Total bs post. He has coexisted with one of the best offensive post presences in the game in Pau. And him with Shaq did win 3 titles. Dwight is nothing like Shaq. Kobe is a proven winner, Dwight is a self absorbed jackass.
1. Dwight Howard is in a generation where the big men are obsolete, should be dominating every game... Dwight is the best center purely on a name basis. Who is his real competition?? Who?? So yes he is overrated, bc he would be one of the worst if he played in Hakeem's Prime. 2. Think about the best players that Nash has played with in his career... In Dallas: Dirk, Finley(in his prime), Juwan Howard...and he made them better!!!!!!! In PHX: The Matrix, Stat, Joe Johnson, Jason Richardson, Grant Hill, Vince Carter...and he made all these guys better! Want proof?? Look at what these guy did/do after he left(The only exception was Dirk) and everyone numbers tailed off. Nash made teammates better...He did it with a bunch of scrubs as well... 3. Now Enter LAL: Kobe, Artest, Pau, (All past their primes) and Dwight(in his prime) are put together in one of the most craziest offseasons in NBA history...Nash should make them better, but whyyyy??????? B/C Nash has to be the primary playmaker in the offense, b/c that is his greatest attribute to the game...He makes others better bc of his vision. When people dont accept it, and dont buy into that system, Nash has been rendered ineffective. Giving the keys to Nash, and allowing him to make plays might be the right first step. But it is impossible to do so bc of Howard's belief that he is some great center, and Kobe's incessant need to dominate the ball, and Pau's inablity to come of the bench, and DAntoni's inability to do whats best for the team. The words of Sacrifice for the Team are so important, and there is not one on that team that wants to sacrifice for the greater good. I do concede that Nash is not physically the same player, but his vision and knowledge of the game comes from years of experience by playing with the best and making them better...Can you imagine how devastating the Pick and roll would be with the Lakers??? Kobe and Nash?? Howard and Nash??? Pau and Nash?? They just need to go back to the basics...because the Post is not the answer for this team...There is no one that can carry this team via the post...Kobe is not big enough, Pau is too soft, and Howard isnt skilled enough...They tried forcing the Low post game with Mike Brown, and DAntoni, but how about just running pick and rolls...
http://www.slamonline.com/online/nb...at-and-bobcats-targeted-his-injured-shoulder/ yea hes still injured smh
It's funny that the 1-2 pick and roll with Kobe/Nash was better than any pick and roll with Dwight. Takes a lot to annoy a guy like Steve Nash.
That play would have probably resulted in a turnover no matter what Dwight did, but he didn't even try honestly. It's obvious he doesn't enjoy playing for the Lakers. My concern with his attitude has more to do with how he viewed SVG, though. Orlando's offense was definitely built around him, yet he was still unhappy with his role according to Hakeem. If he ends up with Houston, I don't think any coach would build an offense with Dwight as the #1 option over Harden. Still, Morey has to go after him if the opportunity is there. You can't pass up the chance at a Top 3 talent.
See, this is the problem with fans. You hate people like Lebron doing the decision and forming super teams, but then you go ahead and make fun of guys who stick it out with their teams to the bitter end and then go ring chasing for the final years of their career. In Nash's case, he saw the writing on the wall in PHX years ago but decided to remain with the team out of loyalty until his contract ran out. Afterwards, Toronto offered him a max contract to play in his hometown and a place in their team after his career, but he turned that down to win a ring. And even then, he didn't go to a sure contender like Miami where he would just have to ride LBJ's coattails to a ring, he went to a more challenging team like the Lakers who didn't even reach the finals a year ago. Nobody in the NBA deserves a ring more than Nash right now. He earned it by playing and acting the right way.
In Morey We Trust. This is either a Buy Low opportunity to get an MVP caliber player, or damaged goods whom we don't need since we already have an up and coming C.
I don't think Morey would go for it, his attitude is such a huge thing. Hes a 24 year old cry baby. Seriously, after the whole ordeal with leaving Orlando, the way he acted before and after the dunk contest the guy was just loving the attention but not really focusing on the game. He's amazing when he really plays from his heart, but it's obvious he's not. If he came to Houston I'm pretty sure Morey would try to get some kind of mental turn around in Dwight, or some kind of motivation to work hard at it again. The Rockets would then be dangerous, but if he's still being a damn diva its only going to ruin the game.
http://www.82games.com/1213/1213LAL.HTM And Nash doesn't like Howard? He should be taking care of himself first. They are better with him off the court.
I really don't think so. Kobe is a proven competitor who puts winning above all, including himself. Example: Recently challenging Dwight to play hurt due to the team needing him.
