I am so pumped about this, as I am a Ravens fan! Finally, a quarterback that can get the ball to Heap and Mason.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Titans ended their stalemate with quarterback Steve McNair on Wednesday and traded the former MVP to the Baltimore Ravens pending a physical.

"We have granted permission to Baltimore to give Steve McNair a physical, which we expect to take place in the next 24 hours," the team said in a statement.

"Upon passing a physical, final trade terms will be agreed upon."

McNair, who turned 33 in February, was the winningest quarterback in franchise history. In 11 seasons, he went 81-59 and led them to their only Super Bowl in 2000. He and Peyton Manning shared the league's MVP award in 2003.

McNair won a grievance last week that allowed him to return to the team's headquarters and work out after being told he couldn't on April 3. The Titans had been trying to renegotiate a cheaper salary for McNair to lower a $23.46 million salary cap hit.

I had heard this might happen soon. I wonder if it is predecated more on McNair's injury or the Titan's feeling that Vince Young can start right away.

The titans signed Kerry Collins. He will be this years starter.

This is great news. Now I can like Steve McNair again without feeling dirty.

EDIT: Sorry, titans haven't signed Collins. But they are very interested in him.

Good news for the Ravens, bad news for the Titans. As good as Vince is, he would've been better off learning from McNair for a season or two.

McNair still has some gas left in the tank; I see the Ravens making the playoffs.

Plus McNair is reunited throwing the ball to Mason. The offensive players for the Ravens may be worth something this year in fantasy football.

Is Brad Hopkins still on the O-line? I think he's the last one.

He didn't want to play against Mario and Peek twice a year.

At this point, the Ravens have done robbed the Titans of 3 of their best players on both sides of the ball: Samari Rolle, Mason and McNair. Now if they could just get Jeff Fisher to replace Brian Billick...

Bud Adams' lack of vision strikes again. He NEVER let's any great ones retire in the same organization.

    Bud's an idiot.

I like Volek in Tennesse. Seriously. Ravens are going to be fun this year if Mcnair stays healthy and R.+ J. Lewis bounce back strong.

the funny thing is the ravens and the titans were bitter rivals before the divisions were re-aligned. remember the playoff game when siragusa basically sat on mcnair and ray lewis effectively ended eddie george's career the year after the titans were in the superbowl.

Kyle Boller was just heating up at the end of last season. And yes, I do realized Boller sucks most of the time.

They released him in March. McNair was the last "Houston" Oiler.

Boller had his chances. He's too wound up all the time to work under Billick, who is neurotic to say the least. And, to further complicate his psyche, he dated Tara Reid as a rookie

She would probably consider the geezer as quite the catch right about now!
