They just signed David West. No need for Scola.

God, it would be amazing if we got that Clipper's pick. Morey with three first rounders, with two of them in the top ten, would be able to almost completely rebuild the team overnight.

Looking at Kobe is ignoring the circumstances back then. You had drafts full of established college players and you had less proven high schoolers thrown into the mix. Do you really think if Kobe went to Duke for a year and then came out after his freshman year he would have still been the 13th pick?

Kobe wouldn't have been the 13th pick if he hadn't dogged all his workouts except the Lakers workout. Kobe wanted the Lakers and screwed around in all his workouts but them.

If the Wolves' preparation for the "strong offer" for Martin is true, I must say I'm surprised, considering how the entire league just witnessed how we were willing to group Martin with Scola, Dragic, a pick and potentially even Patterson/Lee simply to get Gasol. The Rockets were clearly overpaying and knew it, but other teams must have been watering from the mouth to see the Rockets willing to give up that much for anything at all. I would figure teams would be low-balling us right now.

We could revive trade talks with the Hornets/Lakers and send the Clippers pick to New Orleans alongside Thabeet, Hill, and maybe Patterson.

There's your quality picks and youth???

That's not really true. Calipari wanted him but got talked out of it/strong armed by West and Kobe's family and ended up not taking him.

Lee would do good enough starting there. His Defense would make up for any offense he "Might" lack.

I hope the Rockets get Wesley Johnson and/or picks in return. Johnson a freakish athlete who can shoot.

Martin offers so much more than just points on the offensive end. His ability to draw an insane number of fouls puts the opposition at risk of being in the penalty very soon. i don't know where we are going to get the scoring from if he leaves.

Assuming Kevin Love and Wicky Wubio are off the table...

K-Mart+ Knicks pick for Derrick Williams

Or Anthony Randolph+2 future first rounders unprotected.

    Or.. neh.

What are you drunk? They have Wesley Johnson a 4th overall pick in 2010 and Derrick Williams the 2nd overall pick.

Rockets have 2nd overall pick in 2009 and 6th overall from 2009.

Even with picks, better know what the hell you're doing.
