First of all,I have to agree with you all on Bias. The guy was a man among boys...had he lived,Lenny might very well have gone down as the greatest PF of all time.
On Bowie...At the time,Portland needed a big man badly.True,Sam had already had foot problems, but he seemed the CONSENSUS # 2 PICK FOR THE TRAILBLAZERS.

Another reason why this is a bad call is that if you look at all of these player's careers while Francis has fallen off now he had a much larger impact for the first few years of his careers and was a larger star than those other players. Generally top picks are expected to be able to come in and make a big impact on their teams and not usually as long range prospects. In that respect Francis lived up to billing as someone who came in and became the focus of his team and a legitimate star in his first few years.

    I would have rather had a team of Sampson(at 1),Drexler(at 3),and Dream(at 1).
If Sampson's knees hadn't given out,the guy would have been one of the top 30 players of all time...easy.

...and as far as taking Rodney over Clyde,I wanted to throw my TV over the balcony when we made that pick.

And the Celtics were supposed to know this how?

Len Bias never played a game in the NBA. There is no way he should be considered among the worst drafts or compared to who else the Celtics could've picked. If you looked at the '86 draft Len Bias was a perfectly good choice and for reasons having nothing to do with basketball we will never know whether he would've panned out or not.

whoever wrote that list should be fired because they obviously know very little about basketball and the history of the draft.

the names have been said before but how in the hell is Sam Bowie, LaRue Martin, and Joe Barry Carroll NOT on there.

and i could care less about why he chose to put len bias on there, there is something called respect for the dead (especially when they die so young). obviously he is sick and lacks moral judgement regardless of how he wants to defend himself. that is flat out wrong and sick to put len bias as one of the worst picks in nba history when he never had the opportunity to prove that statement true of false.

Big men with foot problems are trouble. Bowie was a bad pick. They should have traded the pick and Drexler for Sampson. Sampson was way better than Bowie was ever projected to be. And the Rockets could use Jordan and Drexler to compliment Olajuwon.
