I know, right? I mean, he clearly looks and acts like Benito Mussolini.

Maybe he will remake the arena out of cubes to make it look like it was from Mincecraft.

Depends on how far he takes it.

Providing only Microsoft devices vs banning the use of Apple and Android.

What if they can't get the apps they need? The Microsoft ecosystem is smaller for tablets and phones.

Apple uses Windows XP for their lab computers for product testing. It's meaningless. This smells like that old tale of how Bill Gates wouldn't let his kids use an iPod. It's only a talking point because people want it to be one.

Back in my day you didn't need a damn tablet to win games. You just threw the ball into Hakeem and ran back on defense. Non-factor change.

Wow. You are supremely iBiased. Chances are the Surface's they will use will be the Surface 2 anyways, not the original Surface. Ballmer wasn't let go solely because of the Surface, it was a lot of things. His handling of the iPhone could be seen as a key point to it, as well as Vista, his stacked ranking system as well could be another reason. Microsoft needed a new breath of fresh air, Nadella is a lot more like Gates than Ballmer as well. That's why when people were saying how much better Ballmer would be over Sterling, I wasn't so quick to jump on that bandwagon.

That Surface Pro 3 is a nice machine. Little big at 12" for a tablet but I'd trade my iPad for it straight up.

Windows Phone 8.1 is actually pretty good though, guys....

and a Microsoft Surface tablet is infinitely times better than an iPad. The Windows 8.1 OS is pretty damn good. Apple is over rated and over priced. It's a good product, but it's not as revolutionary and innovative as advertised..

Obviously they are talking about team use devices, not personal devices. That's perfectly ok since he as an owner can buy new devices to replace old devices and he has the choice to do so.

Wait? That article said Microsoft gave surfaces to the entire NFL for $400m

That's got to be off by at least a factor of 100x. You can buy majority shares in an NFL for that kind of money. THats also like a year's worth of a tv contract to air national games

Well, now we know the Clippers won't use iPad to recruit free agents.

This is quickly moving into Hangout territory, at least I hope so.

This is the NFL we're talking about. If anything, they made MS pay for the privilege of having the league use Surfaces.

I hope he doesn't ban the Rockets from playing in the arena when the Clips are playing home court.

Maybe Ballmer should've been a bit more low-key about implementing this, but ultimately...who cares. This is much ado about nothing. Torocan's posts are on-point.

This is common in businesses. This really didn't need to be a "news" story in the first place.
