Clueless about what the fact that the Rockets are going nowhere fast?
Clueless about how Stern did what was best for the Hornets.
Clueless about how Moreys master plan was to build around a 31 year old Gasol and Nene an injury prone big man who doesn't block shot or rebound?

I'm surprised Feigen didn't ask Stern if he felt like having a cigarette after drilling the Rockets in the backside on the first deal.

He did mismanage the situation, but at the end of the day he had the right and he got NO a better deal.

How is that obvious? You have one owners email, which was sent after he already vetoed the trade.

That's definately true, and that is a clear cut mistake. But that isn't collusion, not illegial, not cancelling the trade due to owner objections, etc.

Its all fine that David Stern did what he thought was the best for his team. In the interest of due process or a sporting sense of fair play he should've given NOTICE beforehand that he would be acting as General Manager so that interested parties Morey, et. al. could have negotiated with him directly and not his puppet GM. through this there would have been a transparent process and teams would not have had to go through the charade of negotiating and finalizing a deal.
He did not INFORM the other teams that he would have the final say UNTIL recently when he nixed the trade. Whatever agreement he had with the owners that he would have the final say was never revealed to the public until the surprise veto.
He was in fact holding out to the public that the Hornets would have autonomy to make decisions for the team. It was only when Gilbert , Cuban and Jordan complained about "competitive balance" that he decided to step in and all the parties involved were caught by surprise.
Why hasn't the Clippers deal been submitted to a vote of the 29 owners?
Who will be complaining on behalf of the Hornets to the league office when they get bad officiating? David Stern will have to complain to himself.

Well no matter how it happened, unless someone successfully sues the NBA we're going to have to deal with Stern and his **** for the foreseeable future. I hope Clutch is talking to Morey and Stern is talking to Morey, and it has become abundantly clear that we aren't going to be "retooling" in the way Les wants and the way that has basically rarely ever happened in the history of the NBA. Maybe Morey is no longer pissed because Stern has promised him a high pick if we simply become eligible for it, by missing the playoffs?

Because truth is, we've been backed into a corner now. We have to lose and hope to win the lottery to move up from the 8-14 pick we are certain to have. Maybe Stern will pull a Cleveland for us and bump up the lower of our two picks (in the case that the Knicks miss the playoffs) just to give us a double incentive not to compete this year.

Stern owes us one bad. But he's also screwed tons of other people over the years and they don't have jack to show for it.

Personal insults don't make your points more convincing. As to how much input other owners had before Stern vetoed the trade, I doubt we'll ever know, but Stern has given the public every reason to take anything he says with a grain of salt. I remain highly skeptical that Stern received no input from any owners before making the decision. Nothing can (or ever will) be proven, of course, but the entire fiasco reeked of outside meddling.

I wonder how people will react when the league owned Hornets win the #1 overall pick in a loaded draft when Stern himself grabs the winning ping pong ball?

Stern was just fulfilling his fiduciary duties to the hornets as wannabe CEO, by ****ing over his fiduciary duties to the rest of the league as commissioner.

    fail.

Exactly. And these kids don't understand that. What's even more sad is that they are presumably Rockets fans, and as fans of the team that got ****ed over the worst, they are still defending Stern.

Lol kids your the one insulting people using terms like stfu and then you have the audacity to call people kids? You need to show some maturity and tone it down some.

Btw we were the team that got saved in this whole scenario. If the trade went through we would of been doomed to mediocrity.
