If we actually S&T Scola as part of the package for Bosh, if we can actually S&T Scola at about $9 million per or something like that to Toronto, then we are in very prime position to attract either James or to possibly work a huge trade for Chris Paul and Okafor, or work a huge trade for Al Jefferson and Ricky Rubio.

Mark it down...if we sign and trade Scola in a deal for one of the current superstars, Morey is going for another superstar.

Scola wii be BYC. Could still go after superstar number 2 - but not in the position you imply, as we still have to send a lot of salary in the first sign and trade.

Basically, Kevin would have to be involved in second deal. Fine, it'd be a clear improvement, but would also be nice to have him with those other players - offensively he is the perfect compliment to James, Wade, Bosh, Yao.....

I understand BYC implications and it does complicate the scenario. But if we secured Bosh's agreement and Toronto's agreement, then a second S&T deal could be crafted for Lebron, Wade, or Joe Johnson, that could be executed simultaneously.

By the way, if the second deal was for Lebron or Wade, then Kevin Martin is expendable in those deals. If it is for Joe Johnson, then I don't believe Morey gives up Martin for him.

There is nothing for Bosh to work on, he just has to say he wants Houston and that is that.

Could this be him using the Rox as leverage?

I don't think Martin is expendable. He's the best off-ball SG in the nba now with Allen's decline and will be one of the best players in complement with the on-ball players.

It's possible. He wants a 6yr max contract, which in my opinion he doesn't deserve.
He hasn't gotten Toronto past the 1st round either,in a weaker conference.

Um, no it's not. I can guarantee you Daryl Morey isn't going to want the first offer Toronto comes at him with, and vice versa. Nothing is that simple when you're talking about a trade.

    Cat,

none of that involves Bosh, all he has to do is say he wants to come to Houston.

Then DM can get to work.

This is not a trade, it is a sign-and-trade

Meaning that Toronto will be happy if they get 1 true asset/young stud/draft pick plus salary fillers/expirings

If they ask too much, it is simple, he will go away, and they will have nothing, and Toronto GM has already said that they want a sign-and-trade, so they have direct interest in agreeing with us, they can´t ask for Martin, or AB, or Ariza, or any starting guy, id GOD MOREY doesn´t want to let them walk, Morey will demand, not Toronto, actually, that happened in all trade Morey gets involved

As said before, the difficult part is Bosh wanting us, let´s wait and see

All Morey has to do is flip the table by selling Bosh on the fact that if he commits to Houston, then one of Lebron, DWade, or Joe Johnson is going to be scrambling to come here.

Does everybody see this? If Bosh agrees to be S&T'd here, then James and DWade are left to sign together in Chicago.........for less than the max. Could they win there? Possibly. But they're still going to have to go through LA or us next season. And the odds are, if they both sign in Chicago, then JJ is going to want to come here. Why would he want to play out the string in Atlanta when they have no chance to even get to the Finals? So, JJ is stuck with the choice to go to the Knicks or get ATL to do a S&T to Houston.

    Brooks
    Martin
    Joe Johnson
    Yao
    Bosh
    MLE
    Patterson
    Lowry
    other vets.

    That is worst case scenario.

This is not true. So if Bosh tells them he wants to go to Houston, and Toronto asks for more than Morey wants to give, you think he'll sign here for the MLE and give up nearly $90 million? Or sign with another team that's A) not his preferred destination and B) would have him giving up $30 million?

Toronto absolutely has some leverage on us in a sign-and-trade, and it's not even debatable. There's a reason the most respected insiders on the planet have mentioned Scola/Battier/Ariza as offered in these discussions. We're going to have to give up legitimate value here, and the process doesn't end for Morey when/if Bosh says he wants to come here.
