Seeing Stephen A. and these other national talking heads fawn over the potential of Kawhi on the Lakers is just disgusting.

Most especially when he's on national television the day prior telling Butler to avoid the Rockets like the plague.

 

If anything, Jimmy should clearly know at this point he's nothing more than a plan B to Kawhi for the Lakers.

I also wonder if the Lakers are pushing so hard for Kawhi because there's no plan B for them, like, Irving in Brooklyn (probably with Durant), Kemba to Boston...Butler to Houston? I mean, he's the best free agent available obviously, but it seems like they suddenly went all in on him while in the past days there was still a lot of talk about the other guys...

 

Welp, that will be tough to beat. I see it as plausible and more realistic than his going to the Clippers. There's no way we beat that team although it would be a good show. The best thing we can do is try to undermine the move with misinformation and psychological tactic. Which can be done after they meet, but not before. We got to get dirty. The worst part is that it will take them a year to smooth out the wrinkles, but we'll be doing the same exact thing. So no window. No ground gained.

This would be a weaker move then KD.

I find it funny all the Lakers fans around me have hated KD and golden state for past few years because of what they did. But now I hear them happy and hoping they get Kawhi too. It's ok for them but not anyone else. They started super teams before lebron did. Why I never understood why they hated the Warriors.

 

The NBA should restrict no more than two top tier players on joining teams. Obviously, you will have 3 out of the top 5 basketball players on the same team makes the competitive balance shift horrendously. This is getting out of hand we were finally going to be free if this from the warriors and now this Laker situation is on the table.
