It's going to be really tough dethroning these guys. Either a team has to evolve the game of basketball from what it is right now (coach Pop using twin towers with Aldridge and Duncan) or a team with megastars play to their peak (Cavs) can beat this team.
He's got MJ's swagger and Hakeem's gracefulness already. Now, it's just the rings that are missing. He's got only one so far. He's a Miller and Steve Nash molded into one.
Lebron is still the best player in the league. That guy is one of the biggest athletic freaks ever and was up on Golden State last year with a depleted Cavs team until he ran out of gas. Curry is probably the second best in the league right now though. I truly believe Curry has really benefited from having great coaching and players that fit his game around him.
I'd take Curry over Lebron any day of the week. I think when Durant gains form he's the only one that can dethrone Curry. I don't see that happening. Curry is on another level shooting the ball combined with playmaking.
I roll my eyes every time I see people dismiss a current player's achievement with this argument. Reggie Miller played in the hand check era. They used tons of screens to get him the space, just like what the Warriors do. Iverson played more than half his career in the hand check era. He used his freakish quickness to get by his defender. These are all slight-built small guys. Just watch the game and see how hand check couldn't have stopped Curry.
Curry is the most skilled basketball player on the planet for sure. But I can't say Curry is better than Lebron or Durant (yet) because of their size and athletic ability. But Curry is fun to watch.
Yeah, Curry moves very well off the ball and knows how to use and come off screens. I think playing shooting guard(mostly) at Davidson helped him in that regard.
Only shooter I've personally seen come even close to Curry's shooting skill was Dwight "Bo Peep" Lamar. That was forty years ago. Curry's the best shooter ever. His handle is maybe the best ever. And he's not bad on D! Only thing can stop him from repeating as MVP would be his ankles. Hope he stays healthy, because he's a great example to youngsters of hard work paying off-- and because we get to see what he can do. If we beat the GSW for the WCF, it'll take an unreal team effort.
He may not be a top defensive player but definitely not weak on defense. His effort is there on defense...hope I could say that about Harden in the future.
What makes you think that? Stop being salty...Warriors was the best team in regular season and they proved that in the playoffs. Even if teams were healthy, Warriors would still have beaten them. Most people that picked Cleveland(without Irving&Love) to beat GSW(LOL) were and are the ones saying If Cleveland had Irving & Love, they would have beaten the GSW. Don't make your self sound like those people that claims If Jordan never retired, Houston would have never won anything. Warriors proved that with stats and the eye test that they were the best team all of last season. Peace!
LeBron doesn't care about the MVP. He just wants to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy at the end of the season.
Injured or just coming from injury... but I agree, the screens and the shooting of his teammates are making him better. But who's shooting?
Stephen Curry ain't ****....you can't let that rugrat get away with that. Put a hand in his face..good grief!
