Removed Morey but that is a horrible record as a life coach.

John Lucas as your head coach and Calvin Murphy as an assistant coach?
It sure would be fun......both guys a wealth of knowledge. What could be better Mike Woodson? Mike Brown? Elie? Cassell? common man i could see Murph with the purple pin stripe zoot suit walking the floor.....:p

When you consider his background and his resume, John Lucas is a perfect fit as an assistant coach under a young analytical coach. He's a former player, and a former drug abuser, and a very successful self-improvement coach. He's the ideal assistant coach to help a young coach and mentor players like TWill, both on the court and off the court. I hope, hope, hope they hire him and he provides a Tex Winters/Frank Hamblen/Carroll Dawson type bench presence alongside either Finch or Joerger or some name like that.

I love the idea of Morey putting together a whole coaching staff to work alongside the head coach. I think it's a great approach. I hope that's what he's doing. I hope he gets a defensive assistant to go with an offensive head coach or an offensive assistant to go with a defensive head coach and then fills out the staff with veterans like Lucas who would bring real value to the table in an assistant's role.

Lucas for head coach?? No. Assistant coach?? Not only yes....but H... yes!

He has helped many, many people. You ought to get to know him. He's a quality person. He should have a place in this organization because:

    1. He has proven his worth and value in personally coaching athletes to chart a different career course.

    2. He is a Rocket, one of the elitest Rockets player ever, with a career's worth of NBA experience. He knows the NBA. He knows what these guys go through. He should be working in the NBA. The NBA needs him. and the home team, his team, needs him.

John Lucas will help our team....greatly.

I dunno, but I think it's getting kind of ridiculous at this point.

Let's interview Steve Francis for the the head coaching position next.

"Trust the process" - Daryl Morey

Is the idea picking the brains of many people or what is the point of spending such a crazy amount of time?

It's like going into a restaurant and demanding to try a sample of every dish on the menu. You should at least narrow it down before you waste everyone's time.

^^Maybe it's just a show at this point. Rockets are down to 4 candidates, 2 "serious" candidates. (If you are to believe Justice).

If Adelman had danced like Lucas, he would still have a job.

At this point I'm hoping for an underdog coach to be picked like Finch.

A Rockets dream coaching team of Elie, Cassell and Lucas with a young upcoming as our HC? Could work although they would have to do a lot of learning on the job

I am on CFDark. My apologies on this. When I c/p, the text is copied as is (from the web) and is sometimes black and the people on CFDark complain about not being able to read it. Sometimes I edit the text(like I did there with the grey or light grey), other times I forget and is left black. Guess I'll go with some weird wacky color so that both sides are able to read. Again, my apologies.
