    The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz are discussing a swap of point guards in advance of Thursday's 3 p.m. trade deadline, according to league sources.

    Sources told ESPN.com that the Rockets have offered Ty Lawson to the Jazz in exchange for a package that would be headlined by former Utah lottery pick Trey Burke.

    At least one Jazz player would have to be added to the deal to make the math work, but sources said that Utah is seriously weighing a gamble on Lawson as part of a long-running search to bring in a veteran point guard for the stretch run.    ​

    Flynn was a speedster, Burke isn't. Although not the same players, the contrast is more like Brooks vs Lowry.

    Burke will fit here ok. Much better than Lawson imo.
    He is a backup nothing more nothing less.

    He has a good head on his shoulders, great attitude, values defense, and has a strong mid-range game.

    Trey Burke is not amazing, he is a decent player off the bench. He can get you 10 points if needed.

    Ty Lawson did absolutely **** while he was here. NOTHING. He will be gone from Houston or Utah. Wherever he is at the end of the season.

    Cannot hate on this trade. Be surprised some team was stupid enough to take him at this point.

    What's the downside to keeping Ty and just letting his contract come off the books this summer? It's not like we're going anywhere. If we got a pick for him, that would make sense... but what's the point of taking on salary if were just spinning wheels until April anyway?

    from latest Stein tweet it's obvious that the one hesitating to complete this trade is Utah not the Rockets.

    Guess why? Because Lawson has crap value. Even Burke is a great return.

    No way they part with Hood. Burks was hurt but will probably be back late this month or early next.
