so if he's stretched to 5 how many he will get per year from BKN?
Billy King should just resign at this point.

Deron, this late in his career, deserves to be with the team that he wants. I'm happy he's going to the Mavs. If reports are true with him being confrontational with the coach over at the Nets then he'll be in the doghouse before the first month is over with Carlise.

A healthy Deron is asking a bit much, he's definitely not the same player he was when playing for the Jazz. At 10 million for 2 years.. that almost sounds like a bargain..

Better not show up to camp overweight; probably why he had ankle issues and injury concerns

    thanx.
The Nets now have no starting pg? So it's tanking time? They owe an unprotected pick. Boston is the winner here.
They get both the late lottery pick of the Mavs AND the lottery pick of the Nets.

I think they still have Jarrett Jack, unless I missed a trade. Yep, Danny Ainge should send DeAndre a bottle of champagne for this!

I think they still hope to make the playoffs, they re-signed Thad Young and Brook Lopez, they still have Joe Johnson. They might just be good enough for the East. but one big injury to a key player, and they are probably bottom 5.

Well..I don't consider Jack to be a starting caliber pg :p Doubt they can make the pos even in the east. Your Pacer should be much better than them and there is Miami and Detroit/Orlando.

Let's just hope for everyone's shake they don't decide after this to just trade Joe to the Cavs!

[MacMahon] Mavs considered trying to trade for Ty Lawson before focusing on Deron Williams.Took significantly less expensive route. (twitter.com)

Let the Mavs have Deron and let other teams needs be filled for the pg spot... afterwards we trade Tjones, KPap + filler for Lawson. Then sign Josh Smith.

    Lawson/PBev
    Harden/Brewer
    Ariza
    Dmo/Smith
    Howard/Capela

This would make for a great offseason for us.

He's been pretty dismal the last couple of seasons, and still plays 0 D.

We'd have to sign Smith before this. He's gonna end up on the Kings if we wait too long

D-Will going to the Mavs could be even more drama than Rondo last year, it's such a good feeling to see Mark Cuban making one dumb f**k decision after another.

    What a lovely day!

The good news for the Nets is this: now that dwill is gone, the pressure for them to dump JJ's contract is gone, they can actually hold on to him and use him and not only help them to win, but may even get something in return if he plays well.

He expires and unless they trade for Varejao+ Hay noone will have the space or a tpe to absorb him or send back so big contracts. So it's now or never for Johnson to get traded.
