Why do people keep mentioning Luc as a player we used against gs. A healthy Luc was important in the regular season. But not in the play offs. So we only lost Ariza from our play offs team and we added a 3d player in Ennis. Our biggest problem was (not counting the refs) that when Paul got injured only harden could create and score. We added a scorer. And while i am not an Anthony fan he could make our team more special. And staying put would not beat the warriors. We need to take risks.
The media needs to run with something, honestly we all know more than them. They just take the narrative, tie it to the story and push it all summer.
If it was my job to fill out paperwork to release him I wouldn't do it on a Saturday in the offseason. I'd wait until Monday.
You would think after everything Houston proved last year they would at least give them the benefit of the doubt but no still continue to hate.
Carmelo getting his hands on an "Anthony" Hawks jersey, framing it, and framing the check for 27M underneath it would be PEAK!
We all know Melo's season in OKC has been picked apart and destroyed, and yes, he had a rough season my most individual metrics. But I was surprised to see how strong his On/Off numbers and Lineup stats were last year. - His On/Off was +5.0, which was 3rd on the team after Westbrook and Adams. - He was a part of 5/6 of OKC's best 5-man combinations (out of 20). - He was a part of 5/6 of OKC's best 4-man combinations (out of 20), including the top 2: Russ/Melo/PG/Roberson and PG/Adams/Melo/Roberson - He was also absent on nearly all of the "worst combinations" list, which is funny because everyone acts like he's so easy to exploit, and you can only use him if you hide him. If that were the case, the combination lineup stats help to show just how "bad" he is in the rare cases he's not hidden by defenders like PG, Adams and Roberson. Not to mention his shooting splits by distance were comparable to his numbers in his strong NYK years. He just took worse shots.
First 2 minutes has some good stuff on Melo, his role, the conversations with Houston, his mentality, etc...
