When yesterday Republican are today's RINO, Obama is a super liberal. That's today fantasy world for many on the right. I think we can partially thank Obama for that. Obama did a number on these folks state of minds.

I know the typical right wing voices won't believe me, but here goes. I'm no Hillary fan, at all. To me she's always seemed competent but power hungry and very Machiavellian (as with most politicians, we can generally assume). I'm not sure I've ever seen some transcendent vision or genuine emotional connection with the common American.

So I actually took the time to read up a bit on this latest email/fax (not faux, necessarily, or Fox, necessarily) outrage and... OMG, I just fail to see the huge deal.

Let's back up, for those of us with actual careers, and consider this. Have you ever run into stupid bureaucratic hurdles when you just wanted to get something done? Have you followed every little rule, or instead were you the type to occasionally show some flexibility to get something done.

So, in her estimation, she needed a file sent to her in short order, but they were having trouble with the normal, "secure" path. She used her judgment and thought this was a case that a workaround was warranted. Technically not good, but do I think this happens millions of times every month in America with corporate or government information? Um, yes. If this is the worst people can find out of all the email turned over, it's kind of silly, IMHO.

If *this* is a reason people won't vote for her, so be it, but good luck finding a candidate as squeaky clean as you seem to want. Srsly.

Now, the fact that she's been so slow or stonewalling turning over requested documents, while also typical of modern politicians, is a better reason to be upset with her.

There is an FBI investigation already underway into these matters and there has been for some time, as you surely know very well. In fact, it sounds like it should be getting wrapped up pretty soon now. So the FBI will surely look at these emails as part of that, which they almost certainly have reviewed already.

All of this will be reviewed, together with all of the stuff on the backup server that the FBI acquired from the backup company, the contents of which Hillary and her crew initially led us to believe had been completely destroyed, once and for all. Of course none of this is included in these email releases, nor have any of us here ever seen these emails.

But the FBI has and is responsible for recommending criminal charges on any crimes that are related to those.

I will there was more transparency but when the GOP is going on witchhunts to try to manufacture scandal, it kinda working against incentivizing transparent. The whole thing was an exercise to find dirt and Clinton knew that she would have to stonewall any investigation as it would be used by the GOP for the purpose of not governing but helping to elect a Repub Pres.

Politics are dirty, and you can't judge Clinton unless you judge the other side.

fully expect Loretta Lynch to shut this down and decline to indict, but the moment she does, the leaks and resignations will start happening

In the first the US official Hillary Clinton pockets the money, in the second, they don't.

    You poor naive boy.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...matthews-says-cheney-got-34-million-payday-h/

Cheney got 34 million dollars when he left, most in deferred stock options.

That's just silly. Cheney received stock options as an employee of Haliburton before he left. Clinton received money through her foundation from foreign powers that she solicited and provided favors for WHILE she was Secretary of State.

If there was one, why didn't the FBI investigate and prosecute him on that?

By holding stock options, Cheney has a pretty clear financial incentive to want enrich Halliburton. The accusation of Clinton is far more tenuous. That her nonprofit foundation will get more donations in exchange for political favors. Those favors might be things she would have done anyway, and the prosperity of her Foundation is only loosely correlated with her own prosperity. The Halliburton contracts might have been ones the Bush White House would have done anyway, but Halliburton's prosperity is more tightly correlated with Cheney's.

There's political cost and risk to pursuing these high-profile investigations. It is probably easier to investigate Clinton because she is in the same party as Obama. If Cheney was investigated under Obama, enemies would have cast it as a political vendetta. Aside from that, Cheney's situation should have been dealt with when he accepted the office. He should have been made to divest stocks and options that might conflict with his duties. But, he wasn't. It'd been hard for the FBI to come after the fact and say it was corruption when he was effectively laundered when he came into office.

    (yawn)

Yet another desperate attempt by the flailing and failing GOP to find something, anything, with which to attack Ms. Clinton. Pathetic.

You do realize that this is an investigation by the FBI, which is not in any way controlled or directed by the Republican party, right?

We have been in the laugh at you stage since about 1999.

I'm sure that victory is right around the corner.
