Aaron Brooks/(Ish?) Courtney Lee Chase Budinger Patrick Patterson Jordan Hill Do you think this could actually work out ok? Discuss.
On a more serious note, I think we should start Brad Miller for the rest of the year simply to give us more consistency in the starting lineup. We can have Brad playing 20 mpg with Yao and Hayes coming off the bench
So are advocating we start all of our bench players (including a current D-Leaguer who's never played an NBA game) at every position and then bring our starters in off the bench? I think it's about as likely as Brad Miller playing point guard the rest of the season.
that's more like a bench roster if you switch Hayes and Paterson. My starting lineup: Miller Scola Battier Martin Lowry
The starters should be: Lowry Martin Lee Miller Scola Yao, Aaron, and Shane should all come off the bench situationally. The reason the above should start is: 1. To get us in the bonus early. With Lowry, Martin, and Scola, we should be in the bonus halfway through the quarter. 2. To get better defense and turnovers going our direction to maximize possessions and foul count against our opponents. Lowry is a turnover creator as is Lee. Scola draws the charges along with Lowry. 3. You get a better shooter on the floor with Lee over Battier, and the defense is compatible to start the game. I actually think Lee is a superior defender, especially when we go up against smaller big guards like Monta, etc. 4. You bring Yao off the bench AFTER we are in the bonus. That way he plays all of his minutes in an environment where when he gets fouled, it is two freebies. 5. Brooks and Battier provide the spacing and snooting that the second group needs surrounding Yao.
i really haven't seen anything to convince me that lee is a better shooter. his outside shot hasn't looked good, and he pretty much only takes that mid range pull up or off a pick and he doesn't hit it that often. his ability to finish above the rim is the only reason his fg% is prolly better...that's just off my observations though
Starting line-up: Brooks Martin Battier Scola Miller Let Miller start until Yao can be fully intergrated into game plan. The other starters have done a good job of putting us in the lead in the first half consistently. You bring Lowry, Lee, Hayes, Hill, Bud of the bench to maintain the lead with defense. After watching these last two games, it is all about situational subs. I like Battier at the 4(when possible) with Lee at the three and Martin at he two. It is a great combination of Offense and Defense.
If Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, Yao, and Brad Miller were all injured...yes that would be the starting line-up.
