Parsons actually look like a great fit as a starter. He was the role player that was kind of doing some of everything. And he was in the face of Durant the whole time. If he works on his shot a bit, he'll play in the NBA for a long, long time.

But I still agree that we need to rebuild though.

Knee Jerk fans like you make Cowboys fans look like a buddist monk when it comes to overreaction. Chill out.

We all know Dalembert is the starting center, he just needed to get in better shape. Parsons gives the Rockets more size in the smallest starting lineup in the NBA and a player whose skillset helps the Rockets best offensive players get the shots they need and can guard bigger 3's like Kevin Durant.

Go have a drink and forget about it.

He lacks weight size. He was in Durant face all day. He isn't the best but the best we got.

This is the same guy who thinks Scola is soft and ONLY takes jumpers, so keep that in mind when reading.

A "dumb" Birdman, but at twice the cost.

McHale values Parson's size alot along with his skillset. In this new era on the NBA you really need your SF to have post player size. That position has become so incredibly important for defensive, and rebounding purposes. No longer will 2 post players do the trick.

I like Terrence checking SG's honestly even though he is an above average defender at the 3. He's going to find plenty of minutes off of the bench this year with injuries and the inevitable trade that will happen in March.

Parsons played pretty good defense on Durant through the first three quarters. The go-ahead basket at the end was the biggest defensive mistake I saw Parsons make, but he played some good defense otherwise.

    That's probably true.

But it just reflects poorly on Bud and Twill. They have not stepped up and are getting outplayed by a 2nd round rook.

Twill did a great job on Harden. I think he went 0-6 til he finally hit a 3 to get his first points. That block he had on James was great too.

Absolutely he did. He played really well tonight off the bench. Things should run through him more off the bench. However, as a starter, Im not sure he's the right guy playing next to the other starters. Parsons did very well at making guys like Martin, Scola, and Dragic better.

Parsons did not score much but he rebounded, played very good defense, made some assists, handled the ball some out on the floor and hustled his ass off. I like that he has a little attitude as well.

Yep, he probably fits a bit better as a starter because of his D, hustle and that he doesn't need to shoot.

He is like an uber role player, and we need that with the starting unit.

Nope. I've seen a number of posters claim that Terrence has the tools to be a star/superstar. In this particular case, I don't know the poster cod from a hole in the ground. No offense to him/her, but I just don't pay much attention to screen names.

Nobody is saying he can defend Durant, LeBron, Anthony, etc. He's just the most capable perimeter defender on the team.

Parsons has got that thing called moxy (a kinder, gentler word for balls). He ain't afraid of nuth'n or no one. I loved the stare down and smirky smile he gave Blake Griffin after that putback dunk the other night.

We need that attitude on this team. The only other guy that brings that kind of thing is Lowry and Lowry can't afford to get kicked out for doing something stupid. You gotta have another guy that....starts stuff, messes with the opponents, is kinda of an antagonist, etc. And on top of that, he's got skills.

I don't know if he will be a great NBA player but he'll be on an NBA roster and in the rotation of an NBA team for many years provided he doesn't get injured.
