Yes he might suck too. You keep trying something until it works.

Hmm funny thing is when we make a game plan we don't seem to change it. Just try it over and over until hopefully it starts to work.

Can Savage cover running backs in the flat? It's pathetic that the backup LBs for Vikings would start for us.

Tom Savage would make the special teams coverage better and would make the defense do their job at a respectable level.

We have to know though what we have in Savage. For example, Broncos will be gunning for Brock's head. Honestly do y'all think that would turn out good? FO must be able to foresee these things. Don't set up our guys to fail. Don't ruin their confidence.

37 million dollars down the drain. It's a sunk cost Bill, let's see what Savage can do.

If we lose next week and Brock had another terrible game I can see savage getting the start post bye week

It's a lost season. I want to see Peyton signed on a 1yr deal to move Osweiler to the bench just for the LOLs. Savage can be Peyton's back up.

If we start Savage,Ric Smith is gone. Guaranteed money and we pull him 7 games in to his contract.

Let the dude play. If he's worse than Osweiler then we know that the Texans are screwed Beyond screwed.

I think people usually throw around the "well, he couldn't be worse" line too often when advocating for backups. But in this instance, I think it holds true. It'd be pretty damned hard to play worse than Brock Osweiler right now. I'm never one to pull the plug too quickly, but Brock is never going to be the guy. He may get better, but if he looks like this 4 years in, it would be a miracle if he ever became a franchise QB.

Heard McShay say that he hasn't given Watson a first round grade. I'm hoping that means that he's available when we pick in the 18-22 range. Good leader with quality character and has great mobility. Sounds like he's worth taking a chance on, gotta start somewhere.

I remember when the Texans were struggling, but winning, with a healthy Fitzpatrick then decided to listen to the "start Ryan Mallet" thread. Luckily it didn't cost them but one game because Mallet got injured. You don't turn to your unproven backup QB when you're 6-3 unless you have to.

Brock is like the one of the worst QBs in the league. You can't get much worse than him. At this point they are just going to go with him with so there is not point of switching.
