its fun to joke about this, but srs your 2nd best center is asik, you have to experiment with both of them on the floor. on paper it looks bad, but things on paper aren't always a guarantee. we should give it a few games. it'll only be for 10-15 minutes a game. asik playing 10-15mpg is terrible. u gotta at least see what else u can do with him.
Yeep because howard came here to play 24 minutes a night. only other alternative is to play howard 6 to 8 minutes at the PF with asik playing center.
no reason why Asik's minutes would drop that much if he came off the bench, the starting power forward might only get 20-25 mpg, D-Mo only averaged 21mpg as a starter
or Howard can be more like Ralph Sampson have him dribble, shoot jumpers and be a play maker we should get Sampson as a coach as well for this have Dream work w Asik and Sampson work w Dwight Harden = Robert Reid Parsons= Jim Petersen We can relive the 80s!
Rather than finding ways to have Asik and Howard share the court, I'd prefer the Rockets find ways to make both playeres more efficient. For example, have Howard run the court a bit more so he can post up before the defenses are set. Getting us some easy buckets. Or have Asik go for more blocks and try to be more of an enforcer inside, even if it means more fouls. I think if Asik plays 18-20mpg and Howard plays 28-30mpg, both can be used in ways that wouldn't be possible playing big minutes. The Rockets' offense is already predicated on attacking early before the half court defense is set. This attack would be even more affective if our bigs are more involved in the attack.
