Even if it was for 2 hours it stuck with Dwight so Hakeem still could have had a big affect on him.

You can't "teach" someone how to shoot jumpers. They have to go into the gym and put in the time. Hakeem can teach you form, footwork, etc. But he can't teach you how to shoot; nobody can. Only you can.

Every player in the league needs 2 hours with Hakeem.

First he beats him as a player, now he beats him as a teacher.

SVG is dead on here. It's silly to give Hakeem much credit for Howard's improvement.

I used to feel bad for SVG after Riley stole his championship ring. Now, I don't.

He's right. It is ludicrous to think that a 3 hour session could significantly help a player.

Everybody has seen what proper shooting form and good footwork look like, it is about going out and practicing it to build the muscle memory and Dwight alone deserves credit for that.

I completely agree with Stan on this. Every time I've seen Howard play this year, they talk about that time he spent with Hakeem. It was only a few hours. Dwight learned and then went off on his own and did the real work.

So when he went off on his own, do you think he perhaps worked on the things Dream taught him/told him that he otherwise wouldn't have been working on?

I thought maybe Hakeem may have sprinkled some of that magic dust on Dwight in those 2 hours they spent together.

He certainly did work on some of the things Dream taught him, but that doesn't mean Dream should be getting as much praise for it as he has been. From the way it's talked about during games, you'd think that Howard spent all summer working out with Hakeem 8 hours a day.
