Last time I flew to Tulsa, there was a giant orange wall in the airport with the big head of the OSU Cowboy mascot. OU is #1 but clearly they don't rule the entire state.

only people who should hate oklahoma is people in austin (and they dont have a pro team, just college). if you live in houston, i fail to see how u can hate on the thunder and cheer for teams in texas other than houston teams

AP30 i agree man, its refreshing to see a guy like this. He lives and breathes basketball. He is so much like the NBA Player of the 80's where is all about winning.

Lebron James? Oh wait, that was Delonte that escorted Lebron's mom to the games...

The thunder have been extremely lucky. Probably the luckiest pro sports franchise in the modern era.

Exhibit A: They avoided the Oden curse by virtue of NOT winning the draft to draft Kevin Durant.

Exhibit B: They again avoided disaster by virtue of the fact that the grizzlies went with Thabust. I could be wrong, but I feel certain that the Thunder would have went Thabeet had they had the second pick. I also think that had the grizzlies NOT had OJ on the team that the grizzlies would have picked harden.

Exhibit C: The Thunder took a flyer on Serge Ibaka and it actually was one of the greatest draft picks THAT low in the draft since Manu was drafted at the bottom of the first round. There is no way they could have known Ibaka was this good. It was like they won the lottery. Hardly never does a pick THAT low from a place like the Congo no doubt pan out.

I'll give them credit for Westbrook. THAT was a great move. But the rest of it was some blind fate.

Why do they have to be a star? Javal McGee always brings his mom to games.

The Thunder in Oklahoma are like the Bears in Chicago. The city is split between Cubs and Sox fans who absolutely hate the other team but everyone worships da Bears.

I'll take your word for the above^^.

you seem to follow the Thunder a lot more than me... I will always try to root for past rockets players... but not all of them... rooting for them and hopping them the best of luck are two different things, but similar in concept.

    ZZpot is out of here!!

PS: Please PEOPLE!! Be nice to each other... Nite ..Nite all:cool: stay cool people.

A Celtics/Spurs final would have consisted of less flopping, superstar calls, and free throw shooting, that's what I was rooting for.

Thats what losing franchises say. The fact of the matter is I give any GM their props when they hit on players. The bigger the better. When they dont hit for a few years? Its no longer luck involved. They just suck. If they keep hitting? Its because they know what they are doing.

I don't know what to make of that question. Really don't want to think about it.

So all UT fans still live in Austin?

But that is besides the point..., I don't consider it a college rivalry anyhow, anymore than I consider my dislike of SA fans a city rivalry. I just know that a lot of Texans just don't like Oklahoma fans, just from living there for jobs and stuff...not a UT thing.

Ask AstroRocket ... and isn't he from Australia.

Manu was a second rounder. Tony Parker was a late first rounder.

While I respect his game. You can't seriously think that D Fish, at this stage in his career, would be enough to be the difference between a 4-1 beat down and a series victory.

The Spurs really blew that last game. This was a dead even game. If it was in SA the Spurs would have won. OKC wouldn't have gotten all the calls in the fourth.
