Ennis, Brown, Brewer would be gone in a second. The Prince of Persia isn't great, but he fits Moreyball.
He would be a redundancy of the abundance the team already has . The Rockets need to solidify their front line with guys that can make plays from the post...
He does occasionally. Martin doesn't suit any needs that the team doesn't already have. He can't exactly handle the ball too well at this point and lacks the size and or style to grab a couple boards even in a run and gun system.
i think he'd be a great complement to harden. hell, coming off the bench would be a luxury. dude draws contact and shot is reliable.
We're still talking about Kevin Martin? Probably a reason he's still a free agent and didn't get a sniff of interest in free agency.
All the top tier teams have more than one guy that can shoot 3's. We'd be idiotic to turn down more shooting off the bench. Not to mention Martin is also great at drawing fouls
If we went after Martin, hed break his wrist signing the 10 day contract we offered. Still redundant.
harden gordon martin wiltjer anderson murlay's wet dream. defense is offense. offense is nonsense. get'er dun murray, get'er dun.
Martin used to be great at drawing fouls. He's long in the tooth now. And, we have a lot of guys who can shoot 3s now - Beverley, Harden, Dekker, Anderson, Gordon, Ariza.
Did you not watch the game a few nights ago? When Anderson or Gordon go cold, our system self destructs. If we're going to rely heavily on 3pt shooting we'll need someone besides Corey Brewer to play more than 15-17 minutes. Also, be careful when you dismiss a player's ability just because they have bad year with a team.
