I'm listening to 610 right now bc cp and lance aren't on today. It's the josh and rich show and It is horrible. I would offer more analysis but I am typing this up at a stoplight. Why would anyone voluntarily listen to this crap?
It is the highest rated sports show in houston, and they don't really talk sports. Leading me to the conclusion people are tired of sports radio. I know I am tired of hearing about the texans 10th round draft pick and how matt shaub is not elite. The rockets are going to the playoffs and people would still rather talk about the texans 4th wide receiver. Josh is a pretty talented radio guy who I don't think watches much sports.
I listened to it for 5 minutes. They were talking about hugs and hugging other men. I switched it to BBC radio. So dumb.
610 is disgraceful. I was forced to listen to them when 790 was broadcasting astros games. I couldn't bear it for two minutes before i gave in and switched to FM. I felt those two minutes lowered my IQ by about 5 points.
Astros spring games killed me. I had to listen to nothing isntead of matt thomas. The noon guys on 610 are not as bad, but everything else is terrible. needless to say...i listened to the astros games today and never once got tempted to change the station to 610. and i pretty much dislike baseball.
They are so bad and I am huge football fan but non stop Texans all the time gets old to me after the first billion times you go over the same thing. I love basketball and like to hear talk about the Rockets during basketball season and Astros talk during baseball season, but listening to those dim-wads you wouldn't even know the other teams in this town even exist.
I listen to 610, and the problem is Josh Innes. He is a child. At some point, he will be fired for doing something stupid. Then, Rich Lord will be FREED from the childish antics. Rich is a good host just paired with an idiot.
No joke. I'm as bad as anyone at going on and on about sports radio in this town, so I can't talk much, but nothing, and I mean nothing, gets this board fired up like sports talk radio discussions.
Recently Josh said that that basketball players are really cool because they are all black and black people are cool. Baseball players are douches that hate gays because they are douchey white people. (paraphrased) I HATE the Astros being on 790.
Lol listened right now. They are shooting a load about the schedule being released for the Texans tomorrow and saying that tomorrow is going to be awesome for Houston sports radio talk. They didn't even mention that tomorrow that we will know who the Rockets are playing in the playoffs. What a ridiculous station.
If you don't like one of the 3 major sports teams in the city you are hosting for you shouldn't have the job.
Last summer (June-July) Josh called his girlfriend and asked her on-air if she peed on herself while she was taking a shower, of course she said she did and found it to be very liberating. This is trailer trash in the finest! That's when I decided to bail on them, I had been thinking about it for awhile and that was the deciding factor. I still have fond memories of Frank Caliendo totally making a fool out of Josh " The Prick" Innes on the air! Good memories I tell you !!! .......... .......... ..........
