A better one? Try everyone. haha. Sportsbook has a very bad rap for cheating it's players. Try 5dimes (I've never used it, but they have a terrific reputation). I think I've heard great things about matchbook but never used it, and I believe that is one that does not accept US players. Basically, 5dimes has a great reputation, stay away from sportsbook, and there are lots of sites that review sportsbooks, so be sure to check those outs.
Doh! I signed up sports-book earlier this week and made some preseason nfl bets...(MVP, Superbowl, ROY etc) They definitely don't have a good rep online I guess I will worry about that if I hit on any of these but definitely not making any more bets there
So tips guys... I may place bets this weekend and I have a question reading these lines... Ravens are +3 vs Bucs Redskins are +1 vs Titans Rams are +4 vs Browns ---------------------------------------- So this means Ravens have to win by 4 for you to win if you bet on Ravens? Redskins have to win by 2 for you to win if you bet on Redskins? Rams have to win by 5 for you to win if you bet on Rams?
Pro Tip I learned from my abusive alcoholic father: Spoiler If you're betting on preseason football then you sir, have a gambling problem.
The teams with the (+) are the underdogs. Meaning that if you bet the Ravens at +3, you win the bet if they lose by less than 3 (or win the game). That being said, do yourself a favor and do not bet on preseason. You might as well go play roulette.
Betting because you think you know who will win is probably a bad idea, but betting $5 on a random team just to give yourself a rooting interest isn't the end of the world.
this is actually pretty much the exact opposite. easy way to remember is if it's + you ADD the points back to that team and if it's - you subtract Example. if you take Ravens +3 you would add 3 to the Ravens final score. after adding, if the Ravens have a higher score, you win. So if it was 24-22 Bucs, you would add 3 points to Ravens making it 24-25=You Win.
How does 5dimes handle payouts? I've used Bovada.lv for years but I'm getting tired of them taking 8 weeks to send me a check that comes from China every time I want a payout, then the bank charges me a $30 foreign transaction fee and takes another 6 weeks to process it, etc.
