Ok I went back and watched it.. It was pretty impressive all that crap on and he still hit FTs blind folded.
Why didn't they just lower the basket and use a smaller ball, would have been more accurate I believe but he did hit 80% so they made their point anyway.
thats a whack experiment, first sasha is no superstar and nba is lucky shaq misses his fts otherwise he would be unstoppable.
Sad part is that I immediately search Vujacic on draftexpress and found out he is 6' 7''. I could swear that the guy is 6' 2'', because that is exactly the height he seems to play at; which may be due to his short wingspan (6' 5''), ala Sport Science-Rajon Rondo thread.
"one of NBA stars" ...Seriously ..??, the Director of that show must gotten high before they got this dude on the show.
Every player has weaknesses, and one of Shaq's weaknesses is FT, still IMO in his early days Shaq was unstoppable.
ROFL i'd like SportsScience to bring in Shaq and he could answer:"Okay Sacha, you can hit some FT's, but can you do this?!" *shatters the backboard*
Make sure you watch Sasha above with this video in mind and also running in the background. ESPN Sports Science guy will never forget the way he looked that night. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Vt2YIpZWBqA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Vt2YIpZWBqA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I watched about 5 seconds just for this... and it was the worst 5 seconds of anything I've ever watched.
Not really. A 10 free throw sample outside of real game conditions doesn't prove much. What % does Shaq shoot in practice?
