hey wait a minute, i loathe drunk driving as much as you...the charge would make more sense if the drunk person ran the red light and hit the wrecker. sucks for that person. shouldnt have been drinking heavily in the first place.

you're right. I was editing my post as you posted!!!

Harrisments post said 'all parties had some fault.' Seems that the manslaughter charge could be a stretch to me.

THe DUI charge makes sense. Don't know about the rest. Seems he was an obstacle rather then a cause of the crash.

Yeah, they'll probably give him a little fine, some bull**** community service, MAAAYBE a little jail time, and he'll be back on the road driving drunk in no time. GREAT GREAT LAW WE HAVE!

If you don't like the law, write your congressman. I don't think the answer is to charge people with made-up stuff.

The drunk driver should get DUI and a DUI charge should be more than a fine, I agree. Drunk drivers should get their licenses suspended for 6 months minimum.

But, the drunk driver in no way deserves intoxication manslaughter. He should be charged with a DUI, but it was the wrecker's fault for running the light, causing the accident.

Two nuisances got taken off the streets. Good job by the drunk driver and vice versa.
