the thing people want to make themselves believe. we know GS was the only team that stood in houston's way. they're no longer around. we know cp3 is a much better fit. but believe what you want to believe. from the looks of all 20 games played to this point, he's far from "washed up"

    1) Not specific to Chris Paul, I think Harden wants another star who just hoops and doesn't want to make sacrifices
    2) Specific to Westbrook, I think Harden, like most fans unfortunately, get caught up "Plays hard" "beats his man 1 v 1" etc. You are right, he wants to play with his buddy and he thinks Westbrook is a great player.

"Psssst.....pssst...... hey Michael.... cover that mic, don't mind the game or the millions of people watching.... I gotta tell you something. We need to get rid of Chris Paul." James Hitler Harden

Chris Paul was still an effective shooter and defender last year, and still is. He just lost his ability to ISO guys. Harden should have been more willing to move off ball and play within a system that allowed Chris Paul to still be at his most effective, but at the same time...that falls on MDA too. His inability to adapt has consistently failed the Rockets. Whenever Paul ISO'd, because that's basically all the Rockets let him do, Harden just sat and watched. He wasn't engaged in the plays. He didn't try to make Chris Paul's life easier. Harden viewed CP3's inability to beat guys off the dribble as a sign that he was washed up, instead of realizing that he just needed to play a slightly different way.

And I'm not hating on Harden. I think he just isn't blameless in the whole thing, especially if he pushed for a trade for a worse player.

I think this is correct. Unfortunately...by doing this, Harden has essentially doomed himself to be ring-less.

Well Westbrook cannot shoot and he never will be able to shoot. His hands are never going to be healthy again and even when they were healthy he a terrible shooter. The fact he cannot shoot will keep him from looking comfortable or part of the system unless he is surrounded by enough shooters that he can pass, rebound, get out in transition and cause havoc without shooting 20 times a game. As it is, he is basically shooting 20 times a game or more.

Media can just make up random, unproveable (one way or the other) stories about James Harden and everyone will believe it. This is ridiculous.

Media: "James Harden may or may not have committed genocide...it's just what I've heard."

Everyone who doesn't like Harden: "Arrest that flopper!"

Except he isn't, let's not forget it was CP3 and PJ who couldn't figure out a PnR that Warriors ran TEN times. For all the "Leadership" and so called intangibles CP3 has been on the losing end of games wayyyy before Harden.
There's a lot of assumption there, 2017 James had an MVP won more games than ever and was the only threat to a super team. Why would he sabotage his chance to shut up the haters? And let's be honest CP3 was bad with Harden on the bench. As far as CP3 losing a step well we weren't asking to beat Klay off the dribble he couldn't get past Bogut!!

I know you're not, but CP3 being a better player than Westbrook isn't set in stone. Believe me I cringe watching him handle the ball, shoot and make decisions but he has provided better defense, rebounding and pace.

Again, we don't know this. I know what DID happen wich was CP3 wasn't on the court when we needed him.

Terrible rumor. If it was any game other than game 6 I could possibly believe it, but CP3 played extremely well in game 6 so why would Harden choose the one game he played well in to say this. Cmon.

Because he’s fat, lazy, stat padder, no defense, doesn’t play the right way, only wants the MVP, ruining the game, strippers, drugs, alcoholic, won’t pass, can’t pass, shoots too much, doesn’t shoot enough, can’t shoot, flops and is a quitter.....and now gets teammates traded.
Everything I just wrote has been said at one point it another on this board. Let that sink in.

Thats the exact thing I thought of when I read the OP...

I still dont buy the report though...

Harden is calculating... he's not just gonna drop that bomb mid game...

I’m guessing the assistants that were let go are still upset and are continuing to spread rumors. Only way this would be reported at all.
