Not really. With the Rockets, always assume the worst when it comes to injuries. If Dekker has a sore back and is likely to miss the entire summer, there's major cause for concern.

I'm going to assume you are being facetious instead of a complete a**hole.

We can thank Mrs. Dekker for making him mow her lawn.

If you are going to assume that, you don't follow FTW Rockets very much.

Not saying I do not believe OP. However there is a too much of this around here lately ....

Draft prospects often injure themselves in workouts pushing themselves really hard. Its not surprising to see him or any other rookie have an injury in the Summer.

Here's what we do know though-

-McHale is not the team doctor.
-Dekker was likely not going to see much time this season anyway
-Dekker still is probably the best you are going to get at 18, back injury or no
-The Rockets probably didn't have a massive franchise altering trade that was dependent on Dekker being healthy.
-He's still really young, and at that age, recovery can be quick
-There is still 4 months left until the season.

So stop freaking out everyone. Keith Jones doesn't need to be fired. Morey doesn't need to be fired. Dekker was still a good draft pick with a promising career. Life will go on.

relax count It's not only the Rockets medical staff. In fact I'm pretty sure he didn't have a workout for us. He did work though for..PHOENIX. Are we going to doubt the witch doctors of the Suns?
And so many other doctors of other teams?
BTW, teams exchange medical records between them if anyone was wondering.

Can always depend on dobro to deliver the voice of reason... Just wanted to say that I appreciate the OP's info, accurate or not... It's always better to have some more information in the offseason.

Fingers crossed that Dekker won't actually end up needing surgery though.

they didn't take him only because their target were there. They never would have taken him- he had already started falling outside of the lottery two weeks or so before the draft.
But most importantly : it didn't have to do with his health. If it had to do with health everyone would know by now, and for sure the Rockets would have known. Look at Looney, a lottery prospect who was flagged by teams doctors, and fell all the way to 30. and it was known through leaks to everyone including the casual fans.

I really see no reason to believe the op before we get more reliable confirmation.

Morey can do no wrong, yep no players will be better than Dekker that were drafted after him.

Watching all these summer league games i hear them discussing how teams (Spurs & warriors) draft players that fit their system and what they're trying to do as a team. Dekker fits but we were loaded there.

Harell is the exact opposite of anything this team is trying to do but once again people will be blaming mchale for not having plays. I keep saying saying this ^^^ every year

The fact that McHale is only really good friends with the GM for one night suggests that drugs or sex are involved. Either way, this taints the information -- may not be reliable.
