Yeah.. I'm actually really OK with not giving Dwight the max... in fact, I hope he goes somewhere else.

If so, it is highly illegal. Agents can't test the market before the market opens. It unravels so much stuff.

Maybe they did. But I see only bad things coming from allowing that. You don't know what another owner will say. Why would you ever want to consent to allow other owners to talk to your signed players, especially a key superstar?

Of course, you'll probably say, "because Morey knew what the answer would be." But opposing owners could screw with you, and lie. There just is no reason to consent to that.

    I heard around 20...

Also hear Rockets may throw serious money at Harrison Barnes this summer too.

Id take Harrison here. Weakens GSW and gives us a nice wing / small ball 4.

Problem is, this is under the assumption KD doesn't come here(which is still my dream)

Only thing worse is if KD went to GS:(

wow thank you for the info!
Barnes will need a max, 25 per. Puts pressure also to GSW.
20 per if it has a 5th year it's not that bad for Dwight. He could get more than 20 but not with the 5th year.

Cyber there is someone who has been leaking from the Kings that Gay is going to get traded and that the Rockets had had talks with them. That's why I asked you.

Thanx so much for the info.

I'd give Ariza & Brewer's money to Barnes - no brainer. 20+ a year, not sold yet but that's the nature of the business now I suppose.

So, Dwight's agent already testing the waters to play else where. Why not trade him on the trading deadline, if he intends to get a max deal else where.

If anyone is a product of the system from GSW and looks better than he really is, it is Barnes. Not Draymond, not Curry, not Klay

Makes sense, as the dubs will be giving his job to Durant.

Another thing...Howard's agent must really suck for allowing such bad news to get leaked wrt his alleged $$ talks with Cuban.

"No, sorry, your current Max client isn't worth Max anymore." Who lets that leak?

It happens all the time and it helps the teams too.
If Morrey knows that Dwight will get the max elsewhere => will sign there then he will be looking more to trade him if he's not prepared to pay him that much.

But if Dwight's agent went to Cuban and not to Ainge at all, that takes one of the best possible trading partners out.

Ideal situation. We keep Dwight, but have enough to add talent.

I think Dwight needs to add an 18 footer to his repertoire. Karl Malone and Charles Oakley managed at the end of their careers, no reason Dwight can't.

Thanks Cyber! I wouldn't give him Max either but I would def give him 17-20 mill a year.

Which would negate any reason to follow the NBA for about five seasons.
