Was cut because he had an NBA out clause and an NBA team wants him. He didn't get cut for not being good. The guy was averaging over 30!

Thanks for the info, cyberx! Can't say I'm jumping up and down at the prospect of an ancient Al Harrington coming to the Rockets, but I was freaked out about Terry when Morey got him, and he's been a huge plus. Maybe we'd get lucky with Harrington, too.

he's the same height as dorsey, stretches the floor, and black/dorsey have been playing terribly...

i would much rather move dmo to starting center position before dwight comes back and have al play the starting pf spot

Does Kenyon Martin really have so little left in the tank that we are looking at Al Harrington?

Good to know that. Maybe he has a little bit of game left in him, though I am not inspired by hearing about him. I am realistic about our slim chances of making a splash this year. I hope he won't struggle too much if he joins the Rockets.

He was a valuable bench player for the wizards last year as they made that run(yes in, the eastern conference). Veteran who can play and add some offense in the post, something we will miss with jones out. If Jason terry can contribute, Al Harrington definitely can. Let's get this guy!

Didn't Mike Harris, Steph Marbury at 40 years old and so average 30pts a game over there?

Really? He shot, rebounded, and defended poorly; rarely got to the line; and played his customary bad defense. He did shoot 34% from 3 though... so that's something, I guess.

Opposing power forward: "Coach, they got some guy name Black out there. What should we do?"
Opposing coach: "Scouting report says he sucks, let him shoot all day long"
Opposing power forward: "Wait...they're bringing in....Al Harrington?? Where the hell has he been?"
Opposing coach: "The hell I know but I remember he jacks a lot of threes so you stick on him whenever he camps out at the 3 point line"

That's the real and only benefit of having Al Harrington.
